Premiering tonight is the new Fox comedy drama The Orville created by Seth MacFarlane and starring himself, alongside Adrianne Palicki, Mark Jackson, Scott Grimes, Peter Macon, J Lee, Halston Sage and Penny Johnson. Bruce Broughton (Silverado) has composed the show’s theme and score for the first episode and John Debney (The Passion of the Christ) and Joel McNeely (A Million Ways to Die in the West) are scoring the following episodes. Also premiering tonight is the HBO original series The Deuce created by David Simon & George Pelecanos and starring James Franco, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Gary Carr, Margarita Levieva, Lawrence Gilliard Jr., Dominique Fishback, Emily Meade, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Chris Bauer, Chris Coy, Natalie Paul and Michael Rispoli. The show doesn’t feature an original score. Blake Leyh serves as the project’s music supervisor. The Deuce tells the story of the legalization and subsequent rise of the porn industry in New York’s Times Square from the early 70s through the mid 80s. The drama will air Sunday nights on HBO. John Debney has joined the music team of Fox’s upcoming comedy drama The Orville and will score multiple episodes of the show created by Seth MacFarlane (Ted, Family Guy) who also stars in the series alongside Adrianne Palicki, Mark Jackson, Scott Grimes, Peter Macon, J Lee, Halston Sage and Penny Johnson.

Jon Ehrlich is set to score the upcoming Fox drama The Resident. The show is created by Amy Holden Jones (Black Box),Hayley Schore & Roshan Sethi and stars Matt Czuchry, Bruce Greenwood, Emily VanCamp, Manish Dayal, and Shaunette Wilson. The series revolves around a young doctor who begins his first day under the supervision of a tough, brilliant senior resident who pulls the curtain back on all of the good and evil in modern day medicine. Philip Noyce (Salt, Clear and Present Danger, Rabbit-Proof Fence) directed the pilot episode. Oly Obst (The Mick) and Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, The Equalizer) are executive producing the 20th Century Fox Television, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Fuqua Films production with Holden Jones. 
Intrada Records has announced the world premiere CD release of the soundtrack albums for the Fox docu-series Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey executive produced by Seth MacFarlane, Ann Druyan, Mitchell Cannold & Brannon Braga and hosted by astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson.
