Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

Expected to top the weekend box office is the animated sequel The Secret Life of Pets 2 directed by Chris Renaud and starring Kevin Hart, Patton Oswalt, Lake Bell, Hannibal Buress, Harrison Ford and Tiffany Haddish. The film’s original music is composed by Alexandre Desplat (The Shape of Water, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The King’s Speech). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as songs by Jack Antonoff & LunchMoneyLewis feat. Aminé. Click here for the full album details.

Also opening nationwide is the X-Men movie Dark Phoenix directed by Simon Kinberg and starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Evan Peters, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Jessica Chastain. Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, The Lion King, Inception, Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean). Fox Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Premiering tomorrow, April 22, is the HBO and BBC series Gentleman Jack created by Sally Wainwright and starring Suranne Jones, Sophie Rundle, Gemma Whelan, Timothy West, Jeremy Lister and Gemma Jones. The show’s original music is composed by Murray Gold (Doctor Who, Torchwood, Death at a Funeral, A Very English Scandal). Premiering on Friday, April 26, is the Netflix original series Chambers created by Leah Rachel and starring Sivan Alyra Rose, Uma Thurman and Tony Goldwyn. James S. Levine (Glee, Nip/Tuck, American Horror Story, Running with Scissors, Damages, The Weather Man) is composing the show’s original music. Soundtrack Album for Netflix’s ‘The Innocent Man’ to Be Released

BMG will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix docu-series The Innocent Man. The album features the show’s original music composed by Dan Romer (Beasts of the Southern Wild, Maniac, Beasts of No Nation, Maniac, Gleason, The Good Doctor). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 11 and will be available to download here. The Innocent Man is directed by Clay Tweel and focuses on two murders that shook the small town of Ada, Oklahoma, in the 1980s – and the controversial chain of events that followed. The series based on the best-selling non-fiction book of the same title by John Grisham features interviews with victims’ friends and families, Ada residents, attorneys, journalists, and others involved in the case.

Premiering tomorrow, December 10, is the Freeform original movie No Sleep ‘Til Christmas co-written and directed by Phil Traill and starring Dave & Odette Annable, Charles Michael Davis. The film’s original music is composed by Jeff Garber (Lopez, Are You the One?). The holiday comedy centers on a bartender and a businesswoman who find they only have one thing in common: insomnia. Premiering on Friday, December 14 is the Australian Netflix original series Tidelands created by Stephen M. Irwin & Leigh McGrath and starring Charlotte Best, Elsa Pataky and Marco Pigossi. The show’s original music is composed by Matteo Zingales (99 Homes, Fahrenheit 451, The Hunter). The drama revolves around an ex-con’s return to her hometown of Orphelin Bay that blows the lid off a generations-long conspiracy of silence around murder, drugs and Sirens. The show’s full first season will be available to stream worldwide exclusively on Netflix.
