John Nordstrom (One Tree Hill, 5ive Days to Midnight, Las Vegas, Nearing Grace, According to Greta, Unhitched, Past Life) has released the first-ever score album for the daytime soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. The Vol. 1 soundtrack features selections of the show’s original music written by the composer who has been scoring the series for the last decade and has received two Daytime Emmy Awards for his work on the drama. Bell & Lee Phillip Bell first premiered in 1987 airs every weekday on CBS and has recently been renewed through the 2023-2024 broadcast season.

Premiering in the U.S. today is the new television adaptation of Jules Verne’s classic adventure novel Around the World in 80 Days developed by Ashley Pharoah & Caleb Ranson and starring David Tennant, Ibrahim Koma and Leonie Benesch. The show’s original score is composed by Christian Lundberg (Snatch, Earth at Night in Color, Eleven Eleven). Hans Zimmer (Inception, The Dark Knight, Gladiator, The Lion King) has contributed the main title theme. The adventure drama, which follows Phileas Fogg as he sets out on a quest to travel around the world, premiered in the UK last week on BBC One and is making its U.S. debut on PBS as part of the Masterpiece series.
Premiering tomorrow, January 3, is the Fox drama The Cleaning Lady developed by Miranda Kwok based on the Argentine series La Chica Que Limpia and starring Élodie Yung, Adan Canto, Oliver Hudson, Martha Millan, Faith Bryant, Sebastien & Valentino LaSalle and Sean Le. Mark Isham (Crash, A River Runs Through It, Once Upon a Time, Miracle, The Accountant, Judas and the Black Messiah) is composing the show’s original music. Annaleigh Ashford’s ‘B Positive’ Season 2 Main Titles Theme Song Released
WaterTower Music has released a new version of the theme song from the CBS comedy B Positive. The track produced by Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Keb’ Mo’ & series producer Chuck Lorre (who co-wrote the theme for the first season) is performed by lead actress Annaleigh Ashford and will be introduced in tomorrow’s season 2 premiere episode. The song is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms (including Amazon). Also watch the opening titles sequence and listen to the full track after the jump. The label has previously released the Keb’ Mo’-performed version from Season 1 earlier this year. Soundtrack Album for CBS/Paramount+’s ‘SEAL Team’ to Be Released
Lakeshore Records will release the first soundtrack album for the CBS/Paramount+ drama SEAL Team. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s first four seasons composed by W.G. Snuffy Walden (The West Wing, Friday Night Lights, Nashville, The Stand, Felicity) & A. Patrick Rose (Under the Dome, Reverie). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 8 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music platforms. SEAL Team is created by Benjamin Cavell and stars David Boreanaz, Max Thieriot, Jessica Paré, Neil Brown Jr., AJ Buckley and Toni Trucks.
John M. Keane Scoring CBS’ ‘CSI: Vegas’
John M. Keane (The Amazing Race, Another Way to Die, Martial Law) is returning as the composer for the new CBS drama CSI: Vegas. The show is created by Jason Tracey (Elementary, Burn Notice) and stars William Petersen & Jorja Fox (who are reprising their roles from CSI: Crime Scene Investigation), as well as Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mandeep Dhillon and Mel Rodriguez. The series follows a brilliant new team of investigators who must enlist the help of old friends when an existential threatens to bring down the entire Crime Lab and release thousands of convicted killers back onto the neon-lit streets of Vegas.
Weekly TV Music Roundup (October 3, 2021)
Premiering on Wednesday, October 6, is the Netflix original film There’s Someone Inside Your House directed by Patrick Brice and starring Sydney Park, Théodore Pellerin, Dale Whibley, Asjha Cooper, Diego Josef, Jesse LaTourette, Burkely Duffield, William MacDonald, Sarah Dugdale, Andrew Dunbar and Markian Tarasiuk. The movie’s original music is composed by Zachary Dawes (Big Time Adolescence, The Peanut Butter Falcon, Deep Murder, Generation). The horror thriller, which follows a teenager and her friends at Osborne High School as they try to identify and stop a masked killer who’s targeting students and exposing their biggest secrets, will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
Also premiering on Wednesday is the Disney+ docuseries Among the Stars directed by Ben Turner and executive producer by himself, Gabe Turner, Leo Pearlman, Will Gluck and Richard Schwartz. Colin Stetson (Hereditary, Color Out of Space, Mayday, The First, Barkskins, Blue Caprice) has composed the show’s original music. The Fulwell 73 production presented by Disney Branded Television follows Captain Chris Cassidy on a quest to get back in his spacesuit for one last mission that risks life, limb and reputation for the greater good of humankind. This 6-part series will be available to stream on Disney+.

Jeff Cardoni (Silicon Valley, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, The Kominsky Method,, Turner & Hooch) is scoring the new CBS comedy Ghosts. The show is developed by Joe Port & Joe Wiseman based on the BBC series of the same title and stars Rose McIver, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Brandon Scott Jones, Richie Moriarty, Danielle Pinnock, Asher Grodman, Román Zaragoza, Sheila Carrasco, Rebecca Wisocky and Devan Chandler Long. Tree Adams (The 100, Californication, Perception, Belushi) is returning to the NCIS franchise as the composer of its fourth series NCIS: Hawai’i. The show is created by Matt Bosack, Jan Nash & Christopher Silber and stars Vanessa Lachey, Alex Tarrant, Noah Mills, Yasmine Al-Bustami, Jason Antoon, Tori Anderson and Kian Talan. The series folllows Special Agent in Charge of NCIS Pearl Harbor Jane Tennant, who, with her unwavering team of specialists, balances duty, family and country, while investigating crimes involving military personnel, national security and the mysteries of the sun-drenched island paradise.
Atli Örvarsson Scoring CBS’ ‘FBI: International’
Atli Örvarsson (The Hitman’s Bodyguard, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Defending Jacob, The Edge of Seventeen, Vantage Point, Eurovision Song Contest, The Eagle) is the composer of the new CBS drama FBI: International. The third iteration of the network’s FBI franchise is created by Derek Haas (3:10 to Yuma, Wanted) and stars Luke Kleintank, Heida Reed, Carter Redwood, Vinessa Vidotto and Christiane Paul. The series follows the elite operatives of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s International Fly Team as they travel the world with the mission of tracking and neutralizing threats against American citizens.
