The show is written by Rory Haines & Sohrab Noshirvani, directed by Jonny Campbell (The Last Post, The Casual Vacancy) and stars Paddy Considine, Bel Powley, Nabhaan Rizwan, Jessica Raine, Sharon D. Clarke, Sunetra Sarker and Roger Jean Nsengiyumva. The 6-part thriller centers on a a young, second generation Pakistani man from East London who is coerced by a Counter-Terrorism officer to go undercover and inform for him.

Segun Akinola Tapped as New ‘Doctor Who’ Composer
BBC announced today that Segun Akinola is the new composer of the BBC drama Doctor Who. He is scoring the 11th season of the show, which stars Jodie Whitaker, Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill. Chris Chibnall (Broadchurch) serves as the project’s head writer and is also executive producing the project with Matt Strevens and Sam Hoyle. Murray Gold was the composer of the previous seasons and scored all of the series’ episodes since 2005.
David Arnold to Score Amazon’s ‘Good Omens’
David Arnold (Casino Royale, Independence Day, Stargate) has been tapped to score the upcoming Amazon original series Good Omens. The show is based on the 1990 book by Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman (American Gods) and stars Michael Sheen as the angel Aziraphale trying to prevent the Apocalypse and David Tennant as the demon Crowley. Jon Hamm, Miranda Richardson, Nick Offerman, Adria Arjona, Nina Sosanya, Jack Whitehall, Michael McKean, Ned Dennehy, Ariyon Bakare, Mireille Enos, Anna Maxwell Martin, Lourdes Faberes and Yusuf Gatewood are co-starring in the 6-part series.
Netflix’s & BBC’s ‘Black Earth Rising’ to Feature Music by Martin Phipps
Martin Phipps is composing the music for the upcoming Netflix and BBC series Black Earth Rising. The show is written and directed by Hugo Blick and stars Michaela Cole, John Goodman, Noma Dumezweni, Harriet Walter, Tamara Tunie, Lucian Msamati and Abena Ayivor. The drama tells the story of Kate Ashby, played by Coel, who was rescued as a young child during the Rwandan genocide and adopted by Eve Ashby, a world-class British prosecutor in international criminal law.
Anne Nikitin to Score BBC’s & PBS’ ‘Mrs. Wilson’
Anne Nikitin has been hired to score the upcoming BBC and PBS Masterpiece mini-series Mrs. Wilson. The show is developed by Anna Symon (Indian Summers) and stars Ruth Wilson, Iain Glenn, Keely Hawes, Anupam Kher and Fiona Shaw. The 3-part drama directed by Richard Laxton is set in 1940s and 1960s London and 1930s India and follows Alison Wilson, who thinks she is happily married until her husband dies and a woman turns up on the doorstep claiming that she is the real Mrs. Wilson.
Soundtrack Album for Netflix’s & BBC’s ‘Collateral’ Released
Dubois Records has released a soundtrack album for the Netflix and BBC limited series Collateral. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Ruth Barrett (Harry Brown, Victoria, Hunted, Love, Nina). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Collateral is created by David Hare, directed by S.J. Clarkson and stars Carey Mulligan, John Simm, Nicola Walker and Billie Piper. The 4-parter thriller is set over four days in present-day London and explores the spiraling consequences of the fatal shooting of a pizza delivery man.

Jon Opstad has composed the music for the new BBC drama The Woman in White. The show is adapted by Fiona Seres (Strangerland) based on Wilkie Collins’ novel, directed by Carl Tibbetts and stars Ben Hardy, Jessie Buckley, Olivia Vinall, Dougray Scott, Riccardo Scamarcio and Charles Dance. The mini-series centers on the lives of two half-sisters and their drawing master as they get caught up in a deadly conspiracy revolving around a mentally ill woman dressed all in white.

Natalie Holt has been hired to score the upcoming BBC drama Press. The show is created by Mike Bartlett (Doctor Foster, King Charles III) and stars Charlotte Riley, Ben Chaplin, Priyanga Burford, Paapa Essiedu, Shane Zaza, Ellie Kendrick, Al Weaver, Brendan Cowell and David Suchet. The series centers on the news editor of a broadsheet and the editor of a tabloid newspaper, The Post and follows their lives as they attempt to balance work and play, ambition and integrity, amid the pressure of the 24-hour global news cycle and an industry in turmoil.

Ilan Esherki is composing the music for the upcoming BBC and Netflix animated mini-series Watership Down. The 4-parter is written by Tom Bidwell (My Mad Fat Diary) based on Richard Adams’ novel, directed by Noam Murro (300: Rise of the Empire) and features the voices of James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Ben Kingsley, John Boyega, Gemma Arterton, Miles Jupp, Freddie Fox, Olivia Colman and Anne-Marie Duff. The series is set in the idyllic rural landscape of southern England and follows a band of rabbits on their flight from the intrusion of man and the certain destruction of their home.
Soundtrack Album for BBC’s ‘The City & The City’ to Be Released
Dubois Records will release a soundtrack album for the BBC mini-series The City & The City. The album features the drama’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Dominik Scherrer (The Missing, Requiem, Ripper Street, Primeval). The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 6, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. The City & The City is developed by Tony Grisoni based on the novel of the same name by China Mieville and stars David Morrisey, Maria Schrader, Christian Camargo, Mandeep Dhillon, Ron Cook and Danny Webb.
