Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the psychological horror thriller Last Night in Soho co-written and directed by Edgar Wright and starring Thomasin McKenzie, Anya Taylor-Joy, Terence Stamp, Matt Smith, Diana Rigg, Michael Ajao, Rita Tushingham and Synnøve Karlsen. The film’s original score is composed by Steven Price (Gravity, Our Planet, Fury, Over the Moon, Suicide Squad, Baby Driver, The World’s End). Also opening wide is the supernatural horror thriller Antlers co-written and directed by Scott Cooper and starring Keri Russell, Jesse Plemons, Jeremy T. Thomas, Graham Greene, Scott Haze, Rory Cochrane and Amy Madigan. Javier Navarrete (Pan’s Labyrinth, Wrath of the Titans, Inkheart, Byzantium, Greta, Mirrors, Hemingway & Gellhorn) has composed the film’s original music. He has recently been scoring the second season of the show created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich based on the book series by Andrzej Sapkowski and starring Henry Cavill, Freya Allan, Anya Chalotra, MyAnna Buring, Mimî M Khayisa, Anna Shaffer, Mahesh Jadu, Eamon Farren, Joey Batey and Royce Pierreson. Season 2 continues the story of Geralt of Rivia, a mutated monster-hunter for hire, as he journeys toward his destiny.
Walt Disney Records has announced the album Harmonious: Globally Inspired Music from the EPCOT Nighttime Spectacular featuring a medley of classic Disney music (written by composers Alan Menken, Hans Zimmer, Randy Newman, the Sherman Brothers, Christophe Beck, Michael Giacchino, David Zippel, Elton John, Tim Rice, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Stephen Schwartz & others) and visuals reinterpreted by a culturally diverse group of 240 artists from all around the world. The album features global artists such as Grammy Award winner Luis Fonsi, Emmy-nominated violinist Lindsay Stirling, the South African Ndlovu Youth Choir, Grammy-winning gospel singer Karen Clark and gospel artist Danny Gokey. Throughout the soundtrack, composer Pinar Toprak’s new EPCOT anthem makes several appearances. The show is created by Harry & Jack Williams (Liar, Fleabag) and stars Jamie Dornan, Danielle Macdonald, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Alex Dimitriades and Damon Herriman. The 6-part mystery thriller follows a British man who finds himself in the glowing red heart of the Australian outback being pursued by a vast tank truck trying to drive him off the road.
