Paramount Music has released a new soundtrack album for the Apple TV+ original series Home Before Dark. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Nathan Lanier (High Strung, Jem and the Holograms, Justin Bieber’s Believe, Max Steel, The LXD: The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download exclusively on Apple Music/iTunes, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released an album featuring Lanier’s score from Season 1. Home Before Dark is created by Dana Fox & Dara Resnik and stars Brooklynn Prince, Jim Sturgess, Abby Miller, Kylie Rogers, Michael Weston, Aziza Scott, Joelle Carter, Jibrail Nantambu, Deric McCabe and Rio Mangini. The new season follows Hilde Lisko as she begins an investigation after a mysterious explosion hits a local farm that will lead her to fight a powerful and influential corporation. Opening in theaters nationwide today (while also premiering on HBO Max) is the film adaptation of the stage musical In the Heights directed by Jon M. Chu and starring Anthony Ramos, Leslie Grace, Marc Anthony Corey Hawkins, Melissa Barrera, Olga Merediz, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Stephanie Beatriz, Gregory Diaz IV, Dascha Polanco and Jimmy Smits. Atlantic Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie written by Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton), including a new original song composed for the film. Also opening wide is the family comedy Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway co-written and directed by Will Gluck and starring Rose Byrne, Domhnall Gleeson, David Oyelowo, Elizabeth Debicki, Margot Robbie and James Corden. The film’s original score is composed by Dominic Lewis (The Man in the High Castle, DuckTales, Money Monster, Free Birds, My Spy, The King’s Man). INVADA Records has released a soundtrack album for the British horror thriller Censor. The album features the film’s original music composed by Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch (Only You, The Forgotten Battle). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. A vinyl edition will be coming out later this year. Censor is co-written and directed by Prano Bailey-Bond and stars Niamh Algar, Vincent Franklin, Sophia La Porta, Adrian Schiller and Michael Smiley. The movie follows a film censor who discovers an eerie horror video that speaks directly to her sister’s mysterious disappearance and tries to unravel the puzzle behind the film and its enigmatic director. Walt Disney Records has released a digital version of the soundtrack album for Walt Disney Productions’ 1981 superhero comedy Condorman directed by Charles Jarrott and starring Michael Crawford, Barbara Carrera, Oliver Reed, James Hampton, Jean-Pierre Kalfon and Dana Elcar. The album features the film’s original score composed and conducted by Henry Mancini (The Pink Panther, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Charade, The Thorn Birds, The Great Mouse Detective, Santa Claus: The Movie, Victor/Victoria). Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in its CD club series, including a new soundtrack album for the 1999 sci-fi classic The Matrix directed by the Wachowski siblings and starring Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss, Joe Pantoliano and Hugo Weaving. The album features the complete score from the film composed and conducted by Don Davis (The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions, Jurassic Park 3, Bound), including several previously unreleased tracks. The 2-CD set of The Complete Edition, which is limited to 2,000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the full album details and listen to audio samples. Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the comedy drama Fatherhood. The album features the film’s original music composed by Rupert Gregson-Williams (Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Hacksaw Ridge, The Legend of Tarzan, The Crown, Over the Hedge, Smallfoot). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, June 18 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track (Stitches) is already being released today and can be checked out after the jump. Fatherhood is co-written and directed by Paul Weitz and stars Kevin Hart, Alfre Woodard, Lil Rel Howery, DeWanda Wise, Frankie Faison, Paul Reiser, Anthony Carrigan and Melody Hurd.
