Quartet Records has announced several new soundtrack albums including a new 3-CD set featuring the complete scores for the last three films in the original The Pink Panther franchise directed by Blake Edwards: 1982’s Trail of the Pink Panther, 1983’s Curse of the Pink Panther and 1993’s Son of the Pink Panther. The Pink Panther Final Chapters Collection features remastered versions of the scores for Trail & Curse composed by Academy Award winner Henry Mancini (Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Charade, Santa Claus: The Movie, The Thorn Birds, The Great Mouse Detective,Victor/Victoria) on the first two discs and the composer’s complete expanded score for Son of the Pink Panther (including previously unreleased music) on the third disc. Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) (Mad Max: Fury Road, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Godzilla vs. Kong, Divergent, Black Mass, Alita: Battle Angel, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice) is returning to score the upcoming adventure comedy Sonic the Hedgehog 2. The film is directed by Jeff Fowler and stars James Marsden, Ben Schwartz, Tika Sumpter, Idris Elba, Natasha Rothwell, Shemar Moore, Adam Pally and Jim Carrey. Rhino Records will release the official soundtrack album for the Sky original movie A Christmas No. 1. The album features the film’s original songs and score composed by songwriter/record producer Guy Chambers (Walk Like a Panther). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, December 10 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Comedy Central Records has released the first soundtrack album for the HBO Max original series South Side. ‘House of Gucci’ Soundtrack Album Details

The full details of the soundtrack album for Ridley Scott’s crime drama House of Gucci have been revealed. The album features a selection of the songs from the movie by artists such as George Michael, Donna Summer, David Bowie, Miguel Bosé, Blondie, New Order, Eurythmics, Annie Lennox, David Stewart & others. Also included is a score suite by the film’s composer Harry Gregson-Williams (The Martian, The Chronicles of Narnia, Shrek, Kingdom of Heaven, The Last Duel). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 8 by Interscope and Decca Records and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. ‘Harold and Maude’ 50th Anniversary Soundtrack Album Announced

A&M Records will release a new soundtrack album for the 1971 cult comedy drama Harold and Maude directed by Hal Ashby and starring Ruth Gordon, Bud Cort, Vivian Pickles, Cyril Cusack, Charles Tyner and Ellen Geer. The album features all nine original songs from the movie written and performed by Cat Stevens, as well as additional dialogue and instrumental music from the film. Previously unheard audio masters have been discovered in the Island Records/A&M archive for Don’t Be Shy and If You Want To Sing Out, Sing Out and all audio has been remastered at Abbey Road Studios in London. Jon Ekstrand and Rebekka Karijord are reuniting to co-score the upcoming thriller All the Old Knives. The film is directed by Janus Metz (ZeroZeroZero, Armadillo) and stars Chris Pine, Thandiwe Newton, Jonathan Pryce and Laurence Fishburne. The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Olen Steinhauer (Berlin Station) and revolves around two ex-lovers – one a CIA spy, the other an ex-spy – who meet over dinner to reminisce on their time together at Vienna station, when their conversation moves to the disastrous hijacking of Royal Jordanian Flight 127.
