Nathan Johnson has confirmed in a recent interview with Film Music Institute that he is returning to score the upcoming sequel Knives Out 2. The film is written and directed by Rian Johnson and stars Daniel Craig (who reprises his role as Benoit Blanc), as well as new cast members Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Leslie Odom Jr., Kathryn Hahn, Kate Hudson, Madelyn Cline and Jessica Henwick. The film is directed by Ed Perkins (Tell Me Who I Am, Black Sheep) and shines a light on the private life of a princess and the eventual crisis that spilled throughout the British monarchy following her tragic death in August 19, 1997. Composer Brett Detar is reteaming with director William Brent Bell on the upcoming horror movie Orphan: First Kill. The prequel to Jaume Collet-Serra’s 2009 feature Orphan (scored by John Ottman) stars Isabelle Fuhrmann who reprises her role of the title character, as well as Julia Stiles, Rossif Sutherland, Matthew Finlan and Hiro Kanagawa. The film centers on Leena Klammer who orchestrates an escape from an Estonian psychiatric facility and travels to America by impersonating the missing daughter of a wealthy family.
