Nathan Johnson has confirmed in a recent interview with Film Music Institute that he is returning to score the upcoming sequel Knives Out 2. The film is written and directed by Rian Johnson and stars Daniel Craig (who reprises his role as Benoit Blanc), as well as new cast members Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Leslie Odom Jr., Kathryn Hahn, Kate Hudson, Madelyn Cline and Jessica Henwick. Composer Brett Detar is reteaming with director William Brent Bell on the upcoming horror movie Orphan: First Kill. The prequel to Jaume Collet-Serra’s 2009 feature Orphan (scored by John Ottman) stars Isabelle Fuhrmann who reprises her role of the title character, as well as Julia Stiles, Rossif Sutherland, Matthew Finlan and Hiro Kanagawa. The film centers on Leena Klammer who orchestrates an escape from an Estonian psychiatric facility and travels to America by impersonating the missing daughter of a wealthy family. Premiering on Tuesday, December 28, is the HBO documentary The Super Bob Einstein Movie written and directed by Danny Gold, produced by Gold, George Shapiro, Aimee Hyatt about the life and legacy of the late actor, writer and producer Bob Einstein. The movie features music by the Barenaked Ladies, including the original song Landed on My Head, which has been released as a digital single earlier this month by Raisin’ Records.
