The film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle Cruise, Non-Stop) and stars Dwayne Johnson, Aldis Hodge, Pierce Brosnan, Noah Centineo, Quintessa Swindell, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari and Bodhi Sabongui. The movie tells the story of the titular anti-hero who first appeared in DC Comics in the 1940s as a power-corrupt villain and slowly became an anti-hero by the 2000s, known for his disregard of rules and conventions. Opening in theaters nationwide this week is the horror epic Nope written, directed and produced by Jordan Peele and starring Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, Steven Yeun, Brandon Perea and Michael Wincott. The film’s original music is composed by Michael Abels (Get Out, Us, Allen v. Farrow, Bad Education, Nightbooks, See You Yesterday). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the songs from the movie today. Opening in select U.S. theaters today is the French adventure comedy My Donkey, My Lover & I (Antoinette dans les Cévennes) written and directed by Caroline Vignal and starring Laure Calamy, Benjamin Lavernhe and Olivia Côte.
