Opening in select theaters while also premiering on Disney+ today is the animated feature Turning Red directed by Domee Shi and starring Rosalie Chiang and Sandra Oh. The film’s original score is composed by Ludwig Göransson (Black Panther, The Mandalorian, Creed, Tenet, Community, Venom).  Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell have contributed three original songs for the fictional boy band 4*Town  in the movie. Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring both score and songs today. Also opening in select theaters while also premiering on Netflix this weekend is the family sci-fi adventure The Adam Project directed by Shawn Levy and starring Ryan Reynolds,Walker Scobell, Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner, Catherine Keener, Walker Scobell and Alex Mallari Jr. Rob Simonsen (Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Foxcatcher, The Way Back, Nerve,  (500) Days of Summer, The Spectacular Now, The Age of Adeline) has composed the film’s original music. WaterTower Music has released two songs from the soundtrack of the seventh season of the CW drama DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music services is the original song By My Side written and produced by the show’s co-composer Daniel James Chan (Supergirl, Emergence), featuring lyrics by Leah Poulliot and performed by Shayan Sobhian, as well as the cover version of Dead or Alive’s You Spin Me Round (Like a Record) performed by Jonathan Walton and produced by Eldad Guetta. ‘The Outfit’ Soundtrack Album Details

Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for the thriller The Outfit. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Shape of Water, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,The King’s Speech, The Queen, The Imitation Game, Godzilla, Philomena). The soundtrack is expected to be released digitally next Friday, March 18 (click here to stream/download the album). A CD version is scheduled to come out on April 8 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Outfit is co-written and directed by Graham Moore and stars Mark Rylance, Dylan O’Brien, Zoey Deutch, Johnny Flynn, Nikki Amuka Bird, Simon Russell Beale and Alan Mehdizade. Rich Vreeland (aka Disasterpeace) (It Follows, Under the Silver Lake, Triple Frontier) has composed the original score for the upcoming slasher movie Bodies Bodies Bodies. The film is directed by Halina Reijn (Red Light) and stars Amandla Stenberg, Maria Bakalova, Pete Davidson, Rachel Sennott, Chase Sui Wonders, Myha’la Herrold and Lee Pace. The movie follows  a group of rich 20-somethings who plan a hurricane party at a remote family mansion, when a party game turns deadly. ‘How to Train Your Dragon 2’ Deluxe Edition Soundtrack Album Announced

Varese Sarabande has announced a new soundtrack album for DreamWorks Animation’s 2014 sequel How to Train Your Dragon 2 directed by Dean DeBlois and starring Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Jonah Hill, T.J. Miller and Kristen Wiig. The album features the film’s expanded original score composed by Academy Award nominee John Powell (The Bourne Identity, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Happy Feet, Bolt, X-Men: The Last Stand, Shrek, Chicken Run), including previously unreleased music. The 2-CD deluxe edition set, which is limited to 2,000 copies, is now available to order on Amazon and the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples. A digital version will coming out on May 13 (click here to stream/download). The label has previously released a deluxe edition for the original How to Train Your Dragon movie in 2020. ‘X’ Soundtrack Album Details

A24 Music will release the official soundtrack album for Ti West’s horror movie X. The album features the film’s original score composed by Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool 2,Watchmen,  300, John Wick, The Punisher) and singer/songwriter Chelsea Wolfe. Also included is Wolfe’s cover version of Oui Oui Marie, which is already coming out as a digital single today (listen to the full track below). The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 25 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. X is written and directed by West and stars Mia Goth, Jenna Ortega, Martin Henderson, Brittany Snow, Stephen Ure, Owen Campbell and Scott Mescudi. The movie revolves around a film crew who arrives at a secluded farmhouse in Texas to shoot an adult film, when their hosts take a special interest in their young guests. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the French drama Notre-Dame on Fire (Notre-Dame brûle. The album features the film’s original music composed by Simon Franglen (The Magnificent Seven, Pandora: The World of Avatar, The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair, Peppermint, The Curse of Turandot) The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music services), where you can also check out audio samples. A CD version is also being released overseas and will be available to order here within the next few days. Notre-Dame on Fire is directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud and stars Samuel Labarthe, Mikael Chirinian, Jean-Paul Bordes,Jérémie Laheurte, Chloé Jouannet and Pierre Lottin. The movie chronicles events that took place on April 15, 2019, when the cathedral suffered the biggest blaze in its history and retraces how heroic men and women put their lives on the line to accomplish an awe-inspiring rescue. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s first season composed by Mark Isham (Crash, Miracle, A River Runs Through It, Once Upon a Time, Warrior, The Nevers, The Accountant, Judas and the Black Messiah). Also included are the original songs by Ruby Ibarra & Nick Isham , as well as lead actress Elodie Yung’s cover of George Gershwin’s Someone to Watch Over Me. The film is directed by Henry Joost & Ariel Schulman (Nerve, Project Power) and stars Owen Wilson, Michael Peña, Walker Scobell, Jesse Williams, Momona Tamada, Keith L. Williams, Abby James Witherspoon and Kezii Curtis .
