Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the thriller Measure of Revenge. The album features the film’s original score composed by Nick Urata (Paddington, Crazy, Stupid, Love., Ruby Sparks, I Love You Phillip Morris, Love the Coopers, Joe vs. Carole, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot). Also included are two songs by Jumero. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Measure of Revenge is directed by Peyfa and stars Melissa Leo, Bella Thorne, Jake Weary and Kevin Corrigan. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the superhero movie Morbius directed by Daniel Espinosa and starring Jared Leto, Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Al Madrigal, Jared Harris and Tyrese Gibson. The film’s original music is composed by Jon Ekstrand (Life, Child 44, Easy Money, Borg vs. McEnroe, Queen of Hearts, I Am Greta). A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score will be released next week by Madison Gate Records. The full album details will be announced soon. Hans Zimmer Scoring Apple TV+’s ‘Prehistoric Planet’

Hans Zimmer is composing original music for the upcoming Apple TV+ natural history series Prehistoric Planet. The composer is co-scoring the show with Anze Rozman (The Planets, Universe) and Kara Talve (Perpetual Planet: Heroes of the Oceans) for Bleeding Fingers Music. He also co-wrote the series’ theme with Andrew Christie (The Flood) for Bleeding Fingers Music. The 5-part documentary is narrated by Sir David Attenborough and recreates the last days of the dinosaurs and uses CGI to take viewers back in time, experiencing the wonders of planet Earth 66 million years ago. Jon Favreau (Iron Man, The Mandalorian, The Jungle Book) and Mike Gunton (Dynasties, The Green Planet) are executive producing the project from BBC Studios’ Bristol-based Natural History Unit. John Williams’ & Yo-Yo Ma’s ‘A Gathering of Friends’ Album Announced

Sony Classical has announced the album A Gathering of Friends, an all-new recording of two concert works by Academy Award winner John Williams (Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jaws, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone) written for cellist Yo-Yo Ma. Also included are selections of Williams’ film scores from Steven Spielberg’s Schindler’s List, Lincoln and Munich conducted by the composer himself and performed by the New York Philharmonic. The recording also includes special appearances by the Spanish guitarist Pablo Sáinz-Villegas and harpist Jessica Zhou. The album w ill be released digitally and physically on May 20 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track (Theme from Schindler’s List) is already available to stream/download now. Deadline is reporting that novelist Richard Mason (The Drowning People, The Lighted Rooms) and Christopher Read will compose the original music for the Hulu musical drama pilot History of a Pleasure Seeker. The show written by Mason based on his 2012 book of the same name is set in early 20th Century Amsterdam and tells the story of a charismatic young man’s explosive adventures through all the temptations of the Belle Époque.
