Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the action drama Top Gun: Maverick directed by Joseph Kosinski and starring Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Glen Powell, Jon Hamm and Ed Harris. The film’s original music is composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – FalloutBlack Widow, His Dark Materials), Harold Faltermeyer (Top GunBeverly Hills Cop), Lady Gaga and Hans Zimmer (Inception, Gladiator, The Dark Knight). Interscope Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score, as well as songs by Gaga, OneRepublic & Kenny Loggins today. Also opening wide is the animated feature The Bob’s Burgers Movie directed by Loren Bouchard & Bernard Derriman and starring Kristen Schaal, H. Jon Benjamin, Eugene Mirman, John Roberts, Dan Mintz, Zach Galifianakis, Larry Murphy and Kevin Kline. Bouchard & Nora Smith wrote the film’s original songs and Tim Davies orchestrated, arranged and conducted the movie’s score. Bouchard, John Dylan Keith, Chris Maxwell, Phil Hernandez, Tim & Patrick Dacey and Brent Knopf are also credited for providing additional music. The track list of the first soundtrack album for the fourth season of the Netflix original series Stranger Things have been revealed. In addition to the previously released Bryce Miller/Alloy Tracks remix of Journey’s Separate Ways (as featured in the new season’s trailer), the album, which is conceptualized and produced by series creators The Duffer Brothers and music supervisor Nora Felder, features tracks by The Beach Boys, Kate Bush, Talking Heads, Kiss, Falco, The Cramps, Dead Or Alive, Ricky Nelson & others. The Season 4 – Vol. 1 soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 27 by Legacy Recordings and will be available to stream/download here. A Vol. 2 album will be coming out on July 1.
