Premiering tonight is the MGM+ original documentary series Let the Devil In directed by Danielle Franco and executive produced by Eli Roth, Branden Morgen, Anneka Jones, Jill Burkhart, Ken Druckerman and Banks Tarver. The show’s original music is composed by Sherri Chung (Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai/The Wild Batch, Kung Fu, Riverdale, Based on a True Story, The Last Husband, Found, Tyler Perry’s Divorce in the Black, Happiness for Beginners). Check out our previous news article for more information about the 4-parter, which will be available to stream exclusively on MGM+.

Premiering tomorrow, September 1, is the Prime Video original series The Runarounds created by Jonas Pate and starring band members William Lipton, Jeremy Yun, Axel Ellis, Zendé Murdock & Jesse Golliher, as well as Lilah Pate, Brooklyn Decker, Maximo Salas, Kelley Pereira, Hayes MacArthur, Marley Aliah, Mark Wystrach and Shea Pritchard. The titular band has also composed the show’s original music. Arista Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the band’s songs tomorrow. ‘I Fought the Law’ Soundtrack Album Released

Dubois Records has released a soundtrack album for the ITV drama I Fought the Law. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Luke Richards (Stay Close, Six Four, Fool Me Once). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s first two tracks below. I Fought the Law is written by Jamie Crichton based on Ann Ming’s book For the Love of Julie and stars Sheridan Smith, Marlowe Chan-Reeves, Olivia Ng, Jake Davies, Kent Riley, Victoria Wyant, Jack James Ryan, Andrew Lancel and Rufus Jones. The 4-part series tells the real-life story of a mother riven by unimaginable grief who finds strength to challenge the centuries-old Double Jeopardy Law to see her daughter’s murderer finally brought to justice after a 15 year battle. Sherri Chung (Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai & The Wild Batch, Kung Fu, Based on a True Story, Riverdale, Found, The Last Husband, Happiness for Beginners) is the composer of the new MGM+ original documentary series Let the Devil In. The show is directed by Danielle Franco (Cold Case: The Tylenol Murders) and centers on a decades-old tragedy that destroyed one family and ignited the darkest fears of a small New Jersey town. The 4-parter features accounts of witnesses, friends, and community members as they try to make sense of the unthinkable events, some believing that Satan took hold of a vulnerable teen boy, while others believe that far more earthly demons were to blame. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the crime thriller Caught Stealing directed by Darren Aronofsky and starring Austin Butler, Regina King, Zoë Kravitz, Liev Schreiber, Matt Smith, Vincent D’Onofrio, Carol Kane, Benito A Martínez Ocasio and Griffin Dunne. The album features the film’s original score is composed by Rob Simonsen (Deadpool & Wolverine, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, It Ends with Us, The Way Back, Foxcatcher, The Age of Adaline, Nerve, (500) Days of Summer) and performed the post-punk band Idles who also contributed several original songs to the project. has released a soundtrack album featuring both score and songs today. Also opening wide is the comedy The Roses directed by Jay Roach and starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Olivia Colman, Andy Samberg, Belinda Bromilow, Allison Janney, Sunita Mani, Jamie Demetriou, Ncuti Gatwa, Zoë Chao and Kate McKinnon. Theodore Shapiro (Severance, The Devil Wears Prada, Tropic Thunder, Ghostbusters,  A Simple Favor, Bombshell, Spy) has composed the film’s original music. Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as two covers performed by Susanna Hoffs, Rufus Wainwright & Eric D. Johnson last Friday. Jeremiah Fraites (of the folk band The Lumineers) has written the original score for the upcoming biographical drama Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere. The film is written and directed by Scott Cooper (Black Mass, Crazy Heart) and stars Jeremy Allen White in the title role, Jeremy Strong as his long-time confidant and manager, Jon Landau, as well as Paul Walter Hauser, Stephen Graham, Odessa Young, Marc Maron, Gaby Hoffman and David Krumholtz. The movie is based on the book Deliver Me from Nowhere by Warren Zanes and chronicles the making of Bruce Springsteen’s 1982 Nebraska album that marked a pivotal time in his life and is considered one of his most enduring works.  Read the rest of this entry »

Mark Mothersbaugh (Thor: Ragnarok, A Minecraft Movie, The LEGO Movie, The Royal Tenenbaums, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, The Croods: A New Age, 21/22 Jump Street) has been tapped to score Pixar Animation Studios’ upcoming feature Hoppers. The film is directed by Daniel Chong (We Bare Bears) and features the voices of Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan and Jon Hamm. The movie takes place in a world, in which scientists have discovered how to “hop” human consciousness into lifelike robotic animals, allowing people to communicate with animals as animals . The album features the songs from the show by the titular band and will be released digitally this coming Monday, September 1 by Arista Records.
