Premiering in the U.S. tomorrow, October 31, is the British limited series Inside Man created by Steven Moffat and starring David Tennant, Dolly Wells, Stanley Tucci, Lydia West, Louis Oliver, Lyndsey Marshal, Atkins Estimond and Dylan Baker. The show’s original music is composed by David Arnold (Independence Day, Casino Royale, Tomorrow Never Dies, Sherlock, Stargate). Bella Union has released the drama’s title song God’s Gonna Cut You Down produced by Arnold and performed by John Grant. Premiering on Wednesday, November 2, is the political thriller The Independent directed by Amy Rice and starring Jodie Turner-Smith, Brian Cox, John Cena, Luke Kirby, Ann Dowd, Stephen Lange, Julianne Arrieta and Alicia Reiner. Jessica Rose Weiss (Cinderella, Don’t Make Me Go, Dog Gone Trouble, 1UP) has composed the film’s original music. Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the streamer’s original animated event series ONI: Thunder God’s Tale. The album features the original music from the show’s first season composed by Pep Magic (aka Zach Johnston & Matteo Robert) (The Dam Keeper). Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the supernatural horror movie Prey for the Devil directed by Daniel Stamm and starring Jacqueline Byers, Colin Salmon, Christian Navarro, Virginia Madsen, Nicholas Ralph, Lisa Palfrey and Ben Cross. The film’s original music is composed by Nathan Barr (True Blood, The House with a Clock in Its Walls, The Americans, Hollywood, Hemlock Grove, Cabin Fever). Also opening wide is the drama Call Jane directed by Phyllis Nagy and starring Elizabeth Banks, Sigourney Weaver, Chris Messina, Kate Mara, Wunmi Mosaku, Cory Michael Smith, John Magaro and Grace Edwards. Isabella Summers (of Florence + the Machine) (Little Fires Everywhere, Physical, The Offer, Sex/Life) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for Steven Spielberg’s coming-of-age drama The Fabelmans. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award winner John Williams (Star Wars, Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Home Alone). Also included are several classical pieces as featured in the movie. The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 11 (click here to stream/download) and physically on December 9. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD version.
