Sony Music has released a soundtrack album for the Japanese psychological horror thriller Exit 8. The album features the film’s original music composed by songwriter/music producer/DJ Yasutaka Nakata and Shohei Amimori . The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other music services. A CD version is set to be released in Japan next month. Exit 8 is co-written and directed by Genki Kawamura and stars Kazunari Ninomiya, Yamato Kochi, Naru Asanuma, Nana Komatsu and Kotone Hanase. Keegan DeWitt (Hearts Beat Loud, A TeacherI’ll See You in My DreamsSorry for Your Loss, Divorce, Morris from AmericaLove Again) has been tapped to score the upcoming HBO original series The Chair Company. The show is created by Tim Robinson & Zach Kanin (Detroiters) and stars Robinson himself, Lake Bell, Sophia Lillis, Will Price and Joseph Tudisco. The comedy revolves around a man who finds himself investigating a far-reaching conspiracy after an embarrassing incident at work. Robinson & Kanin are also executive producing the project with HyperObject Industries’ Adam McKay (The Big Short, Step Brothers) & Todd Schulman (Jury Duty, The Lovebirds), Igor Srubshchi (Master of None, Crashing), as well as Andrew DeYoung who is also directing. The cover art of the vinyl edition soundtrack album for Marvel Studios’ feature The Fantastic Four: First Steps has been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Michael Giacchino (UpLost, Jurassic World, The BatmanSpider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange, Star Trek, The IncrediblesRatatouille) and will be released as a 2-disc 12″ vinyl on October 17 by Hollywood Records & Marvel Music. Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the streamer’s original animated series Dr. Seuss’s Red Fish, Blue Fish. The album features the show’s original songs written by Rob Cantor and performed by PJ Morton (of Maroon 5). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the first two songs after the jump. Dr. Seuss’s Red Fish, Blue Fish is developed by Dustin Ferrer & Steven Conner and features the voices of Brian Drummond & Andrea Libman in the title roles, as well as Naomi Tan as the narrator. The film is written and directed by Rania Attieh & Daniel Garcia (H., Initials S.G.) and is set to star Pamela Anderson and Guy Pearce. The show’s original music is composed by Dan Deacon (Venom: The Last Dance, Hustle, The Changeling, Rez Ball,Twixt, Strawberry Mansion, Ascension, Wedding Season). Swedish singer/songwriter Anna von Hausswolff has teamed up with Filip Leyman to score the upcoming drama Couture. The film is written and directed by Alice Winocour (Proxima, Augustine) and stars Angelina Jolie, Anyier Anei, Louis Garrel and Ella Rumpf. The movie is set in the Parisian fashion industry and weaves together multiple threads of women and girls from Ukraine, Sudan, and France, in the lead up to a fashion show. Theodore Shapiro has won his second Emmy Award for his score for the episode Cold Harbor from the second season of the Apple TV+ original series Severance in the Outstanding Music Composition for a Series category at tonight’s first night of the 77th Creative Prime Emmy Awards. He previously won his first Emmy for his music from Season 1 back in 2022 and was also nominated for his main title theme. Mick Giacchino received his first Emmy Award in the Outstanding Music Composition for a Limited or Anthology Series, Movie or Special category for his score from the episode After Hours of the HBO series The Penguin.
