Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the German Netflix original series Unfamiliar. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Jessica Jones (The Tinder Swindler, One Day, American Nightmare , Fifteen-Love, Our Universe). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 5 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The show is created by Nick Antosca (Candy, Antlers) and stars Javier Bardem, Amy Adams, Patrick Wilson, Joe Anders, CCH Pounder, Lily Collias, Malia Pyles, Jamie Hector and Anna Baryshnikov. The 10-part psychological horror thriller is based on both the novel The Executioners, which inspired Gregory Peck’s Universal Pictures 1962 feature (scored by Bernard Herrmann), as well as Martin Scorsese’s 1991 remake (featuring music by Herrmann adapted by Elmer Bernstein) and follows two happily married attorneys whose lives are shattered when the notorious killer they are responsible for putting behind bars is let out of prison. Walt Disney Records has released the theme song from the Disney+ special event The Muppet Show. The new version of the classic track (originally written by Sam Pottle & Jim Henson) is produced by Grammy Award and Emmy Award winner Bill Sherman and performed by The Muppets and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Folk singer/songwriter Jim Ghedi is making his feature scoring debut on the upcoming thriller The Death of Robin Hood. The film is written and directed by Michael Sarnoski (A Quiet Place: Day One, Pig) and stars Hugh Jackman, Jodie Comer, Bill Skarsgård, Murray Bartlett and Noah Jupe. The movie follows the title character as he is grappling with his past after a life of crime and murder and finds himself gravely injured after a battle he thought would be his last, when he gets offered a chance at salvation in the hands of a mysterious woman. The album features eleven songs from the second season of the show inspired by the diverse genres of Caribbean music, written by a songwriting team comprised of Anthony M. Jones (Tone), Sofia Quinn, Olivia Waithe, Michelle Zarlenga, Chantry Johnson & Rosemarie Tan and performed by the project’s voice cast. The film is written and directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa (Cloud, Wife of a Spy) and stars Masahiro Motoki, Masaki Suda, Yuriko Yoshitaka, Munetaka Aoki, Tasuku Emoto, Ryota Miyadate and Joe Odagiri. The movie based Honobu Yonezawa’s historical novel of the same title is set in 16th century Japan and follows Lord Murashige Araki who rises up against the tyrannical Nobunaga Oda and finds himself besieged within the walls of his own castle.
