Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the German Netflix original series Unfamiliar. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Jessica Jones (The Tinder Swindler, One Day, American Nightmare , Fifteen-Love, Our Universe). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 5 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Unfamiliar is created by Paul Coates and stars Susanne Wolff, Felix Kramer, Samuel Finzi, Henry Hübchen, Andreas Pietschmann, Maja Bons, Genija Rykova, Seyneb Saleh, Natalia Belitski and Aaron Altaras. The show is created by Nick Antosca (Candy, Antlers) and stars Javier Bardem, Amy Adams, Patrick Wilson, Joe Anders, CCH Pounder, Lily Collias, Malia Pyles, Jamie Hector and Anna Baryshnikov. The 10-part psychological horror thriller is based on both the novel The Executioners, which inspired Gregory Peck’s Universal Pictures 1962 feature (scored by Bernard Herrmann), as well as Martin Scorsese’s 1991 remake (featuring music by Herrmann adapted by Elmer Bernstein) and follows two happily married attorneys whose lives are shattered when the notorious killer they are responsible for putting behind bars is let out of prison. Walt Disney Records has released a new soundtrack album for the Disney Junior animated series Ariel – The Little Mermaid. The album features eleven songs from the second season of the show inspired by the diverse genres of Caribbean music, written by a songwriting team comprised of Anthony M. Jones (Tone), Sofia Quinn, Olivia Waithe, Michelle Zarlenga, Chantry Johnson & Rosemarie Tan and performed by the project’s voice cast.
