The full details of the last soundtrack album for the CW superhero drama The Flash have been revealed. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s final three seasons (7-9) composed by Blake Neely (The Flight Attendant, Greyhound, You, Everwood, Riverdale) and Nathaniel Blume (Arrow, Prodigal Son). Also included is Jordan Fisher-performed song 1949 from Season 7 (previously released as a digital single in 2021) and Morgan Kibby’s I Guess That’s Why They Call It the Blues. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, May 26 by WaterTower Music and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Bill Lee has passed away today at age 94 at his home in Brooklyn. The composer and jazz musician was known for scoring his son Spike Lee’s early films, including Do the Right Thing, She’s Gotta Have It, School Daze and Mo’ Better Blues. He also composed the music for the director’s 1983 short Joe’s Bed-Stuy Barbershop: We Cut Heads. Lee was also an established jazz bassist and has performed with artists such as Bob Dylan, John Lee Hooker, Harry Belafonte, Aretha Franklin, Chris Anderson, Odetta, Cat Stevens & others.
