The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has invited 398 artists and executives who have distinguished themselves by their contributions to theatrical motion pictures to join the organization. Among the invited artists this year are a number of film composers, including Ryan Lott, Ian Chang & Rafiq Bhatia who received their first Academy Award nomination this year (as part of Son Lux) for Everything Everywhere All at Once, David Byrne who was nominated in the Original Song category for Everything Everywhere All at Once and previously received a nomination in the Score category (and won the award) for The Last Emperor and M.M. The track written by Ruby Amanfu, Charity Bowden, Kris Bowers (who also composed the score and produced the film), Dahi, Joy Harjo & Cecilia Peña-Govea is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Silva Screen Records has announced a reissue of the soundtrack album for the 1982 comedy drama The Escape Artist directed by Caleb Deschanel and starring Griffin O’Neal, Raúl Juliá, Teri Garr, Gabriel Dell, Joan Hackett, Desiderio Arnaz and Jackie Coogan. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Georges Delerue (Platoon, Twins, Steel Magnolias, The Day of the Dolphin, Joe Versus the Volcano, Beaches). RTI has released a digital version of the soundtrack album for 1996 Italian horror movie The Stendhal Syndrome (La sindrome di Stendhal) written and directed by Dario Argento and starring Asia Argento, Thomas Kretschmann, Marco Leonardi and Luigi Diberti. The album features the film’s original music composed, orchestrated and conducted by Academy Award winner Ennio Morricone (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, The Mission, Once Upon a Time in the West, Cinema Paradiso, The Hateful Eight). The album features the songs from the show’s first season performed by lead actors Guido Pennelli and Julián Cerati. The track list of the soundtrack album for the action adventure Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny has been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner John Williams (Star Wars, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, Jaws, Schindler’s List, Jurassic Park) who previously scored all four Steven Spielberg-directed Indiana Jones movies. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, June 28 by Walt Disney Records and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services.
