Premiering on Tuesday, September 30, is the Hulu original series Chad Powers created by Glen Powell & Michael Waldron and starring Powell himself, Perry Mattfeld, Quentin Plair, Wynn Everett, Frankie A. Rodriguez and Steve Zahn. The show’s original music is composed by Natalie Holt (Loki, Obi-Wan Kenobi, The Princess, Victoria, Knightfall, The Honorouble Woman, Journey’s End, Herself, Beecham House, Press). Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this past Friday. Check out our soundtrack announcement for the full album details and to learn more about the comedy, which will be available to stream exclusively on Hulu.

Premiering on Wednesday, October 1, is the crime thriller Play Dirty co-written and directed by Shane Black and starring Mark Wahlberg, LaKeith Stanfield, Rosa Salazar, Chukwudi Iwuji, Keegan-Michael Key, Nat Wolff, Thomas Jane and Tony Shalhoub. Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, Avengers: Endgame, Predator, Captain America: The First Avenger, Cast Away, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Polar Express) has composed the film’s original music. ‘A Mother’s Special Love’ Soundtrack Released

B Original has released a soundtrack album for the French comedy drama A Mother’s Special Love (En tongs au pied de l’Himalaya). The album features the film’s original music composed by Michel-Ange Merino. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to two tracks from the composer’s score below. A Mother’s Special Love is co-written and directed by John Wax and stars Audrey Lamy, Nicolas Chupin and Benjamin Tranié. The movie revolves around a struggling single mother of a 6-year-old autistic boy who finds herself having to move into a shared living situation with her brother and sleeping in the living room as she juggles a complicated family. Leo Birenberg (Cobra Kai, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, Bottoms, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, Twisted Metal, Son of Zorn, Florida Man) is the composer of the new Apple TV+ original animated series The Sisters Grimm. The show is developed by Amy Higgins & Erica Rothschild based on Michael Buckley’s bestselling book series and features the voice of Ariel Winter, Leah Newman, Laraine Newman, Billy Harris, Abubakar Salim and Harry Trevaldwyn. The animated fantasy adventure tells the story of two orphaned sisters as they navigate a town full of people torn straight from fantasy and fairy tales, confronting heroes and villains alike, while investigating the mystery of their missing parents. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the thriller One Battle After Another written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Teyana Taylor, Chase Infiniti, Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro, Alana Haim, Regina Hall and Wood Harris. The film’s original music is composed Jonny Grennwood (There Will Be Blood, Phantom Thread, The Master, The Power of the Dog, Inherent Vice, Spencer, You Were Never Really Here, Licorice Pizza). Also opening wide is the family adventure Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie directed by Ryan Crego and starring Laila Lockhart Kraner, Gloria Estefan, Kristen Wiig, Kyle Mooney, Thomas Lennon, Jason Mantzoukas, Fortune Feimster, Ego Nwodim and Melissa Villaseñor. Stephanie Economou (Ruby Gilman: Teenage Kraken, Jupiter’s Legacy, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok, My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3, About My Father) has composed the film’s original score. Republic Records has released a soundtrack album featuring a score suite, as well as the songs from the film performed by the cast, as well as aespa, Lu Kala & others today. ‘Ruth & Boaz’ Soundtrack EP Released

Netflix Music has released a soundtrack EP for the streamer’s original film Ruth & Boaz. The 5-track EP features the songs from the movie performed by lead actress Serayah (who stars in the title of Ruth), including a cover of the gospel classic Goodness of God (performed alongside Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds). Also included is Prayer for Your Journey written by DeVon Franklin (who also serves as a producer on the film) & Brett Nolan and performed by Franklin & K-CI. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. The label has previously released the original end credits song Faithful as a digital single last week. Listen to the other four songs below. Remastered Re-Recordings of ‘The Best Years of Our Lives’, ‘Citizen Kane’ & ‘The Magnificent Ambersons’ Scores Announced

Quartet Records has announced three remastered reissues of the re-recordings of three classic film scores from the 1940s. All three soundtracks have been newly remastered by Chris Malone and are being released as limited editions in the SACD format. Titles include the 1978 recording of the score for William Wyler’s 1946 drama The Best Years of Our Lives (starring Myrna Loy, Fredric March, Dana Andrews, Virginia Mayo & Teresa Wright) composed by Hugo Friedhofer and performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Frank Collura, the 1991 recording of the music for Orson Welles’ 1941 classic Citizen Kane composed by Bernard Herrmann performed by the Australian Philharmonic Orchestra and conducted by Tony Bremner, as well as the 1991 recording of the score for Welles’ 1942 period drama The Magnificent Ambersons composed by Herrmann and performed by the Australian Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Bremner. ‘Katrina: Come Hell and High Water’ Soundtrack Album Released

The album features the selections of the show’s original music composed by Grammy Award winner Academy Award nominee Terence Blanchard (Malcolm X, BlacKkKlansman, Inside Man, 25th Hour, The Woman King, Perry Mason, Da 5 Bloods, Red Tails). ‘Rebuilding’ Soundtrack Album Details

Fat Possum Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama Rebuilding. The album features the film’s original music composed by singer, guitarist and folk artist Jake Xerxes Fussell and guitarist James Elkington have made their feature scoring debut on the project . The soundtrack will be released on November 14 (both digitally and on vinyl) and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Two first tracks (Glow in the Dark & Contemplating the Moon) are already available to stream/download now and can be checked out after the jump. Rebuilding is written and directed by Max Walker-Silverman and stars Josh O’Connor, Kali Reis, Lily LaTorre, Meghann Fahy and Amy Madigan. Brooke Blair & Will Blair (Green Room, Rebel Ridge, The Toxic Avenger, I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore,Hold the Dark,  The Informer, Black Christmas, Blue Ruin) have recently scored the new supernatural western Killing Faith. The film is written and directed by Ned Crowley and stars Guy Pearce, DeWanda Wise, Raoul Trujillo, Jack Alcott, Jamie Neumann, Joanna Cassidy, Emily Ford and Bill Pullman. The movie is set against the plague-ravaged deserts of the 1849 Arizona territory and follows a faithless physician who agrees to escort an anguished mother and her afflicted daughter on a journey across a treacherous desert in the hope of finding a cure for her mysterious illness.
