The film’s original music is composed Jonny Grennwood (There Will Be Blood, Phantom Thread, The Master, The Power of the Dog, Inherent Vice, Spencer, You Were Never Really Here, Licorice Pizza). ‘Ruth & Boaz’ Soundtrack EP Released

Netflix Music has released a soundtrack EP for the streamer’s original film Ruth & Boaz. The 5-track EP features the songs from the movie performed by lead actress Serayah (who stars in the title of Ruth), including a cover of the gospel classic Goodness of God (performed alongside Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds). Also included is Prayer for Your Journey written by DeVon Franklin (who also serves as a producer on the film) & Brett Nolan and performed by Franklin & K-CI. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Quartet Records has announced three remastered reissues of the re-recordings of three classic film scores from the 1940s. All three soundtracks have been newly remastered by Chris Malone and are being released as limited editions in the SACD format. Titles include the 1978 recording of the score for William Wyler’s 1946 drama The Best Years of Our Lives (starring Myrna Loy, Fredric March, Dana Andrews, Virginia Mayo & Teresa Wright) composed by Hugo Friedhofer and performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Frank Collura, the 1991 recording of the music for Orson Welles’ 1941 classic Citizen Kane composed by Bernard Herrmann performed by the Australian Philharmonic Orchestra and conducted by Tony Bremner, as well as the 1991 recording of the score for Welles’ 1942 period drama The Magnificent Ambersons composed by Herrmann and performed by the Australian Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Bremner.
