Michael Giacchino (Up, Lost, Star Trek, Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Batman, Jurassic World, The Incredibles) is attached to score the upcoming animated feature High in the Clouds. The film is directed by Toby Genkel (The Amazing Maurice, A Stork’s Journey) and will feature six original songs written by Paul McCartney who will also voice one of the main characters. The movie is based on McCartney’s children’s novel of the same title and follows the journey of a headstrong teenage squirrel who lives in a city where music has been banned by a diva-owl who wants to be the only singer in town and goes on a journey to bring music back to his town. Netflix Music will release the official soundtrack album for the streamer’s original animated series Blue Eye Samurai. WaterTower Music has released a new soundtrack album for the Max original series Our Flag Means Death. The album features selections of the show’s original score from the show’s second season composed by Mark Mothersbaugh (Thor: Ragnarok, The Royal Tenenbaums, The LEGO Movie, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, The Croods: A New Age, 21 Jump Street, The Mitchells vs. The Machines). Also included is Con O’Neill’s rendition of Edith Piaf’s La Vie en Rose (in both English and French) produced by Mothersbaugh. ‘Maestro’ Soundtrack Album Details

Deutsche Grammophon will release the official soundtrack album for the Netflix original film Maestro. The album features the music from the biographical drama composed by Leonard Bernstein and performed by the London Symphony Orchestra, recorded in early 2023 at AIR Studios in London under the direction of Yannick Nezet-Seguin (who served as director/lead actor Bradley Cooper’s conducting consultant). The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 17 and physically (on CD and vinyl) on December 1.
