Burt Bacharach has passed away yesterday at age 94. The Grammy Award-winning songwriter/composer and pianist has written hundreds of songs throughout his career, including numerous tracks written specifically for films and also composed several film scores. He won his first two Academy Awards for the song Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head (with Hal David) and the score from George Roy Hill’s western Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid in 1970 and received another Oscar a decade later for Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do) from Steve Gordon’s Arthur. The details of the first soundtrack album for the Paramount+ original series 1923 have been revealed. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Brian Tyler (Fast & FuriousAvengers: Age of Ultron, Iron Man 3, Crazy Rich Asians, ) & Breton Vivian (Yellowstone, Redeeming Love, Five Feet Apart). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 10 by Sony Classical and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. A first track (1923 Opus) by Tyler has previously been released as a digital single and a second volume featuring more music from Season 1 is expected to come out in a couple of weeks. Paramount Music will release a soundtrack album for the comedy 80 for Brady. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award nominee John Debney (The Passion of the ChristThe Jungle Book, Elf, Iron Man 2, Hocus Pocus). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, February 10 and will be available to stream/download here. The full details of the soundtrack album for the Netflix original film Your Place or Mine have been revealed. The album features the movie’s original score composed by Emmy Award nominee Siddhartha Khosla (This Is UsOnly Murders in the Building, Runaways, Queenpins, Looking for Alaska). Also included is the original song Embers written by Khosla, Alan DeMoss & director Aline Brosh McKenna and performed by Tiny Habits (already out now as a digital single). David Sztanke (Keep an Eye Out, Magnetic Beats, Sophie’s Misfortunes) & rapper Mike Ladd have teamed up to compose the music for the upcoming Netflix limited series Transatlantic. The show is created by Anna Winger (Unorthodox, Deutschland 83) & Daniel Hendler inspired by Julie Orringer’s novel The Flight Portfolio and stars Gillian Jacobs, Lucas Englander, Cory Michael Smith, Ralph Amoussou, Gregory Montel, Amit Rahav, Deleila Piasko and Corey Stoll. The 7-part period drama directed by Stéphanie Chuat, Véronique Reymond & Mia Maariel Meyer follows an international gang of superheroes who helps more than 2,000 refugees in France escape Nazi Germany and the Holocaust.
