Mint Records has released a soundtrack album for the Canadian indie comedy Paying for It. The album features the film’s original music composed by director Sook-Yin Lee and Dylan Gamble (aka Lee & Gamble Unlimited). Visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download the soundtrack. Also listen to Lee’s & Gamble’s “closing credits” track below. Paying for It is co-written and directed by Sook-Yin Lee and stars Dan Beirne, Emily Lê, Andrea Werhun, Kaitlyn Chalmers-Rizzato, Chris Sandiford, Stephen Kalyn, Kris Siddiqi, Sera-Lys McArthur, Scott Thompson and Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll. The movie is based on Chester Brown’s autobiographical 2011 graphic novel and follows an introverted cartoonist who starts sleeping with sex workers and discovers a new kind of intimacy in the process. The comedy, which premiered at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival, opened in select Canadian theaters last month and has just been picked up by Film Movement for a domestic release later this year.
