Dominic Lewis (Bullet Train, The Fall Guy, Money Monster, The King’s Man, Peter Rabbit, Spirited, Violent Night) has composed the original score for the upcoming Apple TV+ original series Dope Thief. The show is created by Peter Craig (The Batman, The Town) based on Dennis Tafoya’s book of the same name and stars Brian Tyree Henry, Wagner Moura, Marin Ireland, Nesta Cooper, Kate Mulgrew, Amir Arison and Ving Rhames. The crime drama follows two long-time Philly friends and delinquents who pose as DEA agents to rob an unknown house in the countryside, when they unwittingly reveal and unravel the biggest hidden narcotics corridor on the Eastern Seaboard. Craig & Henry are also executive producing the Apple Studios and Scott Free production with Ridley Scott (who also directed the first episode), as well as David W. Zucker (The Good Wife, The Pillars of the Earth), Richard Heus (The Underground Railroad, Ugly Betty), Jordan Sheehan (Raised by Wolves, The Terror), Clayton Krueger (The Passing, Still Missing Morgan) and Jennifer Wiley-Moxley. Lewis has previously scored Scott Free’s The Man in the High Castle & Kaleidoscope. Dope Thief will premiere on March 14, 2025 exclusively on Apple TV+.
Lewis’ other recent projects include JoJo Eusebi’s Love Hurts, which just opened in theaters this past weekend. The composer also has Jonathan Entwistle’s Karate Kid: Legends (to be released in theaters on May 30, 2025) coming up.
