Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the comedy thriller Sanctuary. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ariel Marx (Candy, A Small Light, A Friend of the Family, Shiva Baby, Rebel Hearts, The Tale). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, May 26 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Sanctuary is directed by Zachary Wigon and stars Christopher Abbott and Margaret Qualley. The movie revolves around an heir to a hotel empire and the dominatrix who has primed him for success who battle it out in a hotel room as he tries to end their relationship. David Arnold (Independence Day, Casino Royale, Stargate, Sherlock, Tomorrow Never Dies, Shaft) has been tapped to score the upcoming animated special Mog’s Christmas. The film is directed by Robin Shaw (We’re Going on a Bear Hunt) and features the voices of Adjoa Andoh as the narrator, as well as Claire Foy, Benedict Cumberbatch, Miriam Margolyes, Zawe Ashton, Maggie Steed, Gareth Berliner, Charlie Higson, Amelie Law, Teddy Skelton and Tacy Kneale. The album features the composer’s original music from the film and is now available to stream/download on Spotify, Apple Music/iTunes, Bandcamp and most other major digital music services. White Plastic Sky is written and directed by Tibor Bánóczki & Sarolta Szabó and stars Tamás Keresztes, Zsófia Szamosi, Géza Hegedűs D., István Znamenák, Judit Schell, Márton Patkós, Zsolt Nagy and Renátó Olasz. The show is created by Kate McCartney & Kate McLennan (Get Krack!n, The Katering Show) and stars Kate Box, Madeleine Sami, Nina Oyama, Tom Ballard, Alicia Gardiner, Pamela Rabe, Susie Youssef, Kris McQuade and Duncan Fellows. The 8-part crime comedy revolves around two vastly different female detectives who are thrown together to solve the murder of a local man in the sleepy seaside hamlet of Deadloch. The album features the film’s original score composed by Harry Brokensha (In the Cold Dark Night, Born in Damascus), as well as the original songs from the movie written by Brokensha and Nick Wilson. Kindling is written and directed by Connor O’Hara and stars George Somner, Conrad Khan, Wilson Mbomio and Mia McKenna-Bruce. Dua Lipa has recorded an original song for Greta Gerwig’s fantasy comedy Barbie. The track, entitled Dance the Night, will be released as a digital single this coming Friday, May 26. Dua Lipa announced the song title on social media. No songwriter/producer credits have been revealed yet, but we have learned a couple of weeks ago that Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt (who both previously collaborated with Dua Lipa) are involved in producing music for the film’s soundtrack. Atlantic Records will release Barbie The Album featuring the songs from the movie, while WaterTower Music is expected to release a separate soundtrack featuring the film’s original score. District 6 Music has released a soundtrack album for the documentary The Wild One. The album features the film’s original music composed by Gaël Rakotondrabe (Porto, Other People’s Children). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. The Wild One is directed by Tessa Louise-Salomé, narrated by Willem Dafoe and traces theater/film director Jack Garfein’s life: his Czechoslovakian youth, his family’s fleeing the Nazis and surviving in Auschwitz and other camps, his arrival in New York and coming under the wing of Lee Strasberg, Hollywood and his marriage to actress Carroll Baker. Tommy Walter (of the rock band Abandoned Pools) is composing the original music for the new Max original animated series Clone High. The revival of the cult 2002 show created by Phil Lord & Chris Miller (The LEGO Movie, 21/22 Jump Street) and Bill Lawrence (Ted Lasso, Scrubs) also features Abandoned Pools’ theme song (written by Walter) from the original series. Will Forte, Nicole Sullivan, Lord & Miller themselves, Christa Miller, Donald Faison & Judah Miller are reprising their roles from the 2002 show and are joined by new cast members Ayo Edebiri, Mitra Jouhari, Kelvin Yu, Vicci Martinez, Neil Casey, Sam Richardson, Jana Schmieding, Mo Gaffney, Danny Pudi, Al Madrigal, Marissa Jaret Winokur, Michael Bolton, Mandy Moore, Ian Ziering and Steve Kerr.
