Lakeshore Records will release a new soundtrack album for the Apple TV+ natural history event series Prehistoric Planet. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Anže Rožman (The Planets, Great Bear Rainforests, Universe), Kara Talve (Perpetual Planet: Heroes of the Oceans) and Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Gladiator, The Dark Knight, Inception, Dune). Zimmer & Andrew James Christie (The Flood) have written the Prehistoric Planet Theme. The soundtrack will be released digitally this coming Monday, May 22 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the action sequel Fast X directed by Louis Leterrier and starring Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Jason Momoa, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Charlize Theron, Brie Larson and Helen Mirren. The film’s original score is composed by Brian Tyler (Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Crazy Rich Asians, Yellowstone, Iron Man 3). Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music on June 2. Artist Partner Group has released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie by artists such as Youngboy Never Broke Again, Dermot Kennedy, Bailey Zimmerman, J Balvin & others today. Opening in New York and Los Angeles today before expanding to more markets in the coming weeks is the comedy thriller Sanctuary directed by Zachary Wigon and starring Christopher Abbott and Margaret Qualley.
