Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the sci-fi horror thriller Afraid written and directed by Chris Weitz and starring John Cho, Katherine Waterston, Havana Rose Liu,Lukita Maxwell, David Dastmalchian and Keith Carradine. The film’s original score is composed by Alex Weston (The Farewell, Expats, Wander Darkly, The Adults, The Novice, Goodnight Mommy) who also co-wrote the original song I Love You (with Weitz) for the project. Madison Gate Records will release a soundtrack album according to the movie’s end credits, but no announcement has been made yet. Also opening wide is the biographical drama Reagan directed by Sean McNamara and starring Dennis Quaid, Penelope Ann Miller, Jon Voight, Kevin Dillon, Olek Krupa, David Henrie, Mena Suvari, Xander Berkely, C. Thomas Howell, Trevor Donovan, Robert Davi, Kevin Sorbo Lesley-Anne Down and Jennifer O’Neill. John Coda (Bratz, The King’s Daughter, Hoovey, Cats & Dogs 3: Paws Unite) has composed the film’s original score. No word on a score release.
