Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album for the Argentinian Disney+ original series Selenkay. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Damián Mahler (Aruna’s Magic). Selenkay is directed by Martín Sabban, Joaquín Cambre & Eduardo Pinto and stars Gina Mastronicola, Manuel Ramos, Julián Mateo Caballero, María Zubiri, Luisina Arito and Alejandro Paker. Composer David Sardy (Zombieland, 21, End of Watch, Premium Rush, Bright, The Beekeeper, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, Monster Trucks) is reteaming with director John Swab on the upcoming action thriller Long Gone Heroes. The film is written and directed by Swab (Body Brokers, Run with the Hunted) and stars Frank Grillo, Josh Hutcherson, Eden Brolin, Melissa Leo, Mekhi Phifer and Andy García. The movie follows a special forces soldier who is forced back into the field of battle to save his niece, who is being held in South America, and discovers that her disappearance is part of a corrupt private operation that hits way too close to home. Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack album for John Woo’s reimagining of his 1989 Hong Kong action classic The Killer. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Logan, Scream, A Quiet Place, The Hurt Locker, Ford v. Ferrari, The Wolverine). Also included is the original song Introuvable co-written (with Beltrami, Giampiero Ambrosi, Eloi Painchaud & Buck Sanders) and performed by Jorane and actress Diana Silvers’s rendition of Let’s Live for Today. Film Fest Gent has announced the new album Elliot Goldenthal – Music for Film featuring music by the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s World Soundtrack Awards, including all-new studio recordings of selected scores by the composer performed by the Brussels Philharmonic and conducted by the festival’s music director Dirk Brossé. Gaumont will release a soundtrack album for the Belgian/French thriller Night Call (La nuit se traîne).
