Five Jays Music has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1970s cult sci-fi TV series The Bionic Woman created by Kenneth Johnson based on Martin Caidin’s novel Cyborg and starring Lindsay Wagner, Richard Anderson, Martin E. Brooks, Martha Scott, Ford Rainey and Jennifer Darling. The album features the main title and end credit themes composed by Jerry Fielding (The Wild Bunch, The Bad News Bears, Escape from Alcatraz, Scorpio, Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia) , as well as the composer’s previously unreleased scores for the Season 1 episodes Welcome Home, Jaime – Part 2 & Claws. Also included is the music from two episodes of Season 2 (Sister Jaime & Jaime and the King) and several “tracking cues” composed by Joe Harnell (The Incredible Hulk, V, Alien Nation). The 50th Anniversary Collection is being released as a 2-CD set and is now available to order on BSX/Dragon’s Domain Records’ official website, where you can also listen to audio samples and find out more about the soundtrack. The Bionic Woman premiered over three seasons between 1976 and 1978 on ABC & NBC and the full series is now available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.
