Premiering on Wednesday, December 11, is Pixar’s Disney+ original series Dream Productions written and directed by Mike Jones and starring Paula Pell, Richard Ayoade, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Alli Maki,Kensington Tallman, Tony Hale, Liza Lapira, Phyllis Smith and Lewis Black. The show’s original music is composed by Nami Melumad (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Thor: Love and Thunder, Star Trek: Prodigy, An American Pickle, One Fast Move, Absentia). Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score on December 20. Premiering on Thursday, December 12, is the Netflix original series No Good Deed created by Liz Feldman and starring Lisa Kudrow, Linda Cardellini, Ray Romano, Abbi Jacobson, O-T Fagbenle, Poppy Liu, Denis Leary and Teyonah Parris. Siddhartha Khosla (Only Murders in the Building, This Is Us, Welcome to Chippendales, The Idea of You, Rabbit Hole, A Family Affair, Looking for Alaska) has composed the show’s original music. Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this past Friday. Expanded ‘The Molly Maguires’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1970 historical drama The Molly Maguires directed by Martin Ritt and starring Sean Connery, Richard Harris, Samantha Eggar and Frank Finlay. The CD features the film’s expanded original score composed and conducted by Henry Mancini (The Pink Panther, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Charade, The Thorn Birds, Santa Claus: The Movie), including around 20 minutes of previously unreleased music, as well as revised and alternate versions. Also included is Charles Strouse’s unused score for the project, which has previously been released as part of an expanded score release by Kritzerland in 2012. ‘Dune: Prophecy’ Volume 2 Soundtrack Album Released

Milan Records has released the second soundtrack album for the HBO original series Dune: Prophecy. The album features the original music from the final episodes of the show’s first season composed by Academy Award winner Volker Bertelmann (All Quiet on the Western Front, Lion, Conclave, Hotel Mumbai, The Day of the Jackal, Adrift, The Old Guard). The Volume 2 soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s first two tracks below. The label has previously released the Volume 1 soundtrack last month and has also just released an album featuring both volumes combined. Dune: Prophecy is developed by Alison Schapker & Diane Ademu-John inspired by the novel Sisterhood of Dune by Brian Herbert & Kevin J. Anderson and stars Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Mark Strong, Jodhi May, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Chloe Lea, Josh Heuston, Jade Anouka and Faoileann Cunningham. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the comedy Y2K co-written and directed by Kyle Mooney and starring Rachel Zegler, Jaeden Martell, Julian Dennison, Lachlan Watson, Daniel Zolghadri, Mason Gooding and The Kid Laroi. Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (Ozark, Enemy, Speak No Evil, The White Tiger, The Outsider, The Staircase, The Gift, Tokyo Vice) have composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been announced. Check out our previous news article to learn more about the movie, which premiered at this year’s SXSW Film Festival and is being released by A24.

Also opening wide is the horror thriller Werewolves directed by Steven C. Miller and starring Frank Grillo, Katrina Law, James Michael Cummings, Ilfenesh Hadera and Lou Diamond Phillips. The Newton Brothers (X-Men ’97, The Haunting of Hill House, Doctor Sleep, Five Nights at Freddy’s, The Forever Purge, The Fall of the House of Usher) have composed the film’s original music. Expanded ‘Darling Lili’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1970 “musical” romantic comedy Darling Lili co-written and directed by Blake Edwards and starring Julie Andrews, Rock Hudson, Jeremy Kemp, Lance Percival, Michael Witney and Jacques Marin. The album features the original songs from the film written by Academy Award winner Henry Mancini (Breakfast at Tiffany’s, The Pink Panther, The Thorn Birds, Santa Claus: The Movie, Charade, Lifeforce) and featuring lyrics by Johnny Mercer, as well as demos played by Mercer before filming that include two unused songs, as well as instrumental versions of the songs. Also included is the premiere release of Mancini’s complete original underscore from the movie. Mancini & Mercer received two Academy Award nominations (for the original song Whistling Away the Dark and the “song score”). ‘No Good Deed’ Soundtrack Album Released

Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the streamer’s original series No Good Deed. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Emmy Award winner Siddhartha Khosla (Only Murders in the Building, This Is Us, The Idea of You, Rabbit Hole, Welcome to Chippendales, A Family Affair, Your Place or Mine, Looking for Alaska). Also included are two songs written and performed by Rachel Cantu. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. No Good Deed is created by Liz Feldman and stars Lisa Kudrow, Ray Romano, Linda Cardellini, O-T Fagbenle, Abbi Jacobson, Poppy Liu, Denis Leary and Teyonah Parris. The dramedy revolves around the sale of a couple’s picture-perfect Los Angeles home that forces them to face painful family secrets – and hide them from cutthroat buyers and prying eyes. Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the original 1964 The Pink Panther movie co-written and directed by Blake Edwards and starring David Niven, Peter Sellers, Robert Wagner, Claudia Cardinale and Capucine. The album features the premiere release of the original film tracks of the comedy’s original score composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Henry Mancini (Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Santa Claus: The Movie, The Thorn Birds, Charade, Lifeforce), the original song It Had Better Be Tonight (Meglio Stasera) written by Mancini & Johnny Mercer and performed by Fran Jeffries, as well as alternate versions and unused music. Also included is a remastered version of the original RCA soundtrack album, which Mancini recorded with new arrangements. The 2-CD set, which is being released to coincide with the movie’s 60th anniversary, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check audio samples. Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the streamer’s original film The Six Triple Eight. The album features the movie’s original score composed by Aaron Zigman (The Notebook, The Proposal, Bridge to Terabithia,Sex and the City, John Q, Wakefield, Escape from Planet Earth, The Ugly Truth). First Songs from ‘A Complete Unknown’ Soundtrack Released

Columbia Records has released two first tracks from the soundtrack for the biographical drama A Complete Unknown. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music platforms is a digital single featuring the Bob Dylan songs Girl from the North Country performed by Timothée Chalamet & Monica Barbaro and Like a Rolling Stone performed by Chalamet. Also listen to both tracks (produced by Nick Baxter) below. A full soundtrack album will be released digitally on December 25 and on vinyl on January 24, 2025. ‘The End’ Soundtrack Album Released

Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the movie musical The End. The album features the film’s original songs written by Joshua Schmidt, with lyrics by director Joshua Oppenheimer and performed by cast members including Tilda Swinton, George MacKay, Moses Ingram, Bronagh Gallagher, Lennie James, Tim McInnerny & Michael Shannon, as well as the original score composed by Schmidt and Marius de Vries (Coda, Kick-Ass, Strange Magic, Navalny) who also serves as an executive producer on the project. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to Schmidt’s “overture”, the first song (A Wonderful Gift) and score track (Son) after the jump. The End co-written and directed by Oppenheimer is set 25 years after environmental collapse left the Earth uninhabitable and follows a family who are confined to their palatial bunker, where they struggle to maintain hope and a sense of normalcy by clinging to the rituals of daily life – until the arrival of a stranger upends their happy routine.
