As reported earlier this year,
Robert Duncan is scoring Shawn Ryan’s new ABC drama Last Resort, which follows the crew of a U.S. nuclear submarine who become hunted fugitives after ignoring an order to fire nuclear missiles. The composer recently went down in an actual submarine at San Diego’s Maritime Museum to collect some different sounds sources for the score. Duncan (Castle, The Unit, Terriers, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) has also just launched his new official website, where audio clips from the show’s score will be added soon. Last Resort stars Andre Braugher, Scott Speedman, Robert Patrick, Autumn Reeser, Max Adler, Daisy Betts and Dichen Lachman and Michael Campbell (Casino Royale, The Mask of Zorro) has directed the pilot episode. ‘Wrong’ Soundtrack Details

Ed Banger Records will be releasing a soundtrack album for the indie comedy Wrong. The album features the film’s original music by Tahiti Boy & Mr. Oizo. The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 27, 2012 and will be available to download on Amazon. Audio clips from all 13 tracks on the album can be checked out after the jump. Wrong is written and directed by Quentin Dupieux (Rubber) and stars Jack Plotnick as man who wakes up one morning to find that his beloved dog Paul has vanished and embarks on a spiritual journey guided by a guru to metaphysically reconnect with his pet. Trevor Morris has been hired to score the new ABC mystery series 666 Park Avenue. The show is created by David Wilcox (Fringe) is based on a novel by Gabriella Pierce and follows a couple who learns that the Manhattan building complex that they just moved into, including its upscale tenants, might be possessed by a mysterious demonic force. The series stars Rachael Taylor, Dave Annable, Vanessa Williams, Terry O’Quinn, Mercedes Masöhn, Robert Buckley, Helena Mattsson, Erik Palladino and Samantha Logan. Graves is also executive producing the Warner Bros. Television production with Matthew Miller (Chuck), Leslie Morgenstein (Gossip Girl, The Vampire Diaries), Gina Girolamo (The Secret Circle) and Alex Graves (Fringe) who also directed the pilot episode. Carter Burwell Scoring ‘Seven Psychopaths’

Carter Burwell is scoring the upcoming comedy thriller Seven Psychopaths. The movie is written and directed by Martin McDonagh and stars Colin Farrell as an alcoholic screenwriter who is struggling to write a serial-killer script and gets more real-life inspiration than he can handle when a dognapping scheme gone awry brings a galaxy of crazies to his doorstep. Sam Rockwell, Woody Harrelson, Christopher Walken, Abbie Cornish, Tom Waits, Olga Kurylenko and Gabourey Sidibe are co-starring in the film. Decca Classics to Release Dario Marianelli’s ‘Anna Karenina’ Soundtrack

Decca Classics will be releasing the official soundtrack album for Joe Wright’s film adaptation of Leo Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina. The album features the film’s original music composed by Dario Marianelli who has received his first Academy Award for his work on the director’s Atonement and also was also honored with another Oscar nomination for Wright’s Pride & Prejudice. The soundtrack will be released on September 1o, 2012 in the UK. A domestic release is expected closer to the film’s US in November. Anna Karenina stars Keira Knightley, Jude Law, Aaron Johnson, Matthew MacFadyen, Kelly Macdonald and Olivia Williams. ‘Resident Evil: Retribution’ Soundtrack Details

Mark Kilian to Score ‘Don’t Look Back’

Mark Kilian has signed on to score the psychological thriller Don’t Look Back. The film that was previously entitled Vipaka is directed by Philippe Caland (Ripple Effect, Boxing Helena) and stars Forest Whitaker and Anthony Mackie as two adversaries who go head-to-head in a game that tests each man’s belief in what he believes is the truth. Sanaa Lathan, Nicole Ari Parker and Mike Epps are co-starring in the movie, which is set against the voodoo backdrop of New Orleans. Shintaro Shimosawa (co-producer of The Grudge) has written the screenplay Caland is producing the project with Whitaker and Nina Yang (The Children of Huang Shi) for Significant Pictures. ‘The Master’ Soundtrack Details

Nonesuch Records has announced the details of the soundtrack for Paul Thomas Anderson’s drama The Master. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jonny Greenwood performed by the London Contemporary Orchestra and AUKSO Chamber Orchestra, as well as four recordings from the post–World War II era in which the film is set by artists including Ella Fitzgerald, Jo Stafford and Helen Forrest. As previously reported, the album is set to be released on September 11, 2012 and is now available on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. The Master starring Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams, Josh Close and Fiona Dourif is set to premiere at the Venice and Toronto Film Festival and will be released in the US on September 14 by the Weinstein Company.

‘Arbitrage’ Soundtrack Details

Milan Records will be releasing a soundtrack album for the indie drama Arbitrage. The album features the film’s original score composed by Cliff Martinez (Drive, Traffic), as well as songs by Bjork, Billie Holiday, Jobim/Getz and a cover of My Foolish Heart. The soundtrack will be released on September 11, 2012 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips from the album can be checked out below. Abitrage is directed by Nicholas Jarecki and stars Richard Gere, Susan Sarandon, Tim Roth, Laetitia Casta, Brit Marling and Nate Parker. Hanan Townshend is the composer of Terrence Malick’s upcoming drama To the Wonder. The film starring Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams, Javier Bardem and Olga Kurylenko follows a man who reconnects with a woman from his hometown after his marriage to a European woman falls apart. Malick has written and directed the film and Nicolas Gonda and Sarah Green are producing the project.
