Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album for the comedy drama The Trouble With Bliss. The album features the score from the film composed by Daniel Alcheh, as well four original songs performed by Greek artists Sofia Papazoglou, Vasilis Lekkas and Pantelis Thalassinos, with lyrics by songwriter Maria Papadaki. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon. Audio clips are available after the jump. The Trouble With Bliss adapted from the critically acclaimed novel East Fifth Bliss by Douglas Light is directed by Michael Knowles and stars Michael C. Mark Mancina to Score ‘Penthouse North’

Mark Mancina has signed on to score the upcoming thriller Penthouse North. The film directed by Joseph Ruben and starring Michael Keaton and Michelle Monaghan follows a photojournalist blinded in Iraq who falls prey to a criminal who believes there are stolen diamonds hidden in her apartment. David Loughery (Lakeview Terrace, Passenger 57) has written the screenplay and is also producing the project with Ruben, Jeff Sackman (American Psycho) and Michael Baker. Mancina has previously collaborated with director Ruben on the 1998 drama Return to Paradise and the 1995 action thriller Money Train. Ruben has also worked with such A-List composers as James Horner (The Forgotten), Jerry Goldsmith (Sleeping with the Enemy) and Elmer Bernstein (The Good Son) throughout his career. ‘Once Upon a Time’ Soundtrack Announced

Intrada Records has announced a soundtrack album for the ABC hit drama Once Upon a Time. The album features over an hour of the original score from the series by composer Mark Isham, including a 4-minute orchestral suite. The soundtrack will be released on May 1, 2012 and can be pre-ordered at Intrada’s online store. ABC Studios has previously released a digital-only four-track EP of Isham’s music from the show. Once Upon a Time created by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz and starring Jennifer Morrison, Ginnifer Goodwin, Robert Carlyle, Lana Parrilla, Josh Dallas, Jamie Dornan and Jared Gilmore is ABC’s most successful new drama of the current TV season. Rolfe Kent to Receive BMI’s Richard Kirk Award

Rolfe Kent is the recipient of the Richard Kirk Award for outstanding career achievement at this year’s BMI Film & Television Awards. The Emmy Award- and Golden Globe-nominated composer has previously received 13 BMI Film & Television Awards since 2002. Kent’s best known work includes his score for Alexander Payne’s Election, About Schmidt and Sideways, as well as Jason Reitman’s Thank You For Smoking and Up in the Air. He also composed the main titles for the Showtime hit drama Dexter, which earned him an Emmy nomination. Among his other credits are the hit comedies Wedding Crashers, Legally Blonde, Freaky Friday and Mean Girls. Kent most recently scored last year’s family film Mr. Popper’s Penguins and the critic favorite Young Adult. Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the indie comedy Natural Selection. The album features the original score from the film composed by iZLER (ABC’s Revenge) and Curt Schneider. iZLER received a World Soundtrack Award nomination in the Disocovery of the Year category for his work on the film. Natural Selection is written and directed by Robbie Pickering and stars Rachael Harris, Matt O’Leary and Jon Gries. La-La Land Records has released the premiere official soundtrack release for the 1999 Dreamworks sci-fi action comedy Galaxy Quest directed by Dean Parisot and starring Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman and Sam Rockwell. The album features the film’s original score from the film composed by David Newman. Newman’s music has previously only been released as a composer-produced promo CD. Nick Urata has recently scored the upcoming comedy drama Ruby Sparks. The film is directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris and stars Paul Dano as a once-successful young novelist whose creativity is blocked due to heartache and loneliness. He makes a breakthrough and creates a character named Ruby who inspires him and comes to life to be his girlfriend. Zoe Kazan has written the screenplay is also co-starring in the movie alongside Annette Bening, Chris Messina, Alia Shawkat, Antonio Banderas, Deborah Ann Woll, Steve Coogan, Elliott Gould and Toni Trucks. Albert Berger & Ron Yerxa (Little Children, Election) are producing the Fox Searchlight Pictures and Bona Fide Productions film. Urata has previously worked with the directors on the Academy-winning indie hit Little Miss Sunshine as part of the indie folk group DeVotchKa that co-scored the film with Mychael Danna. Varese Sarabande Records has announced a soundtrack album for the second season of the HBO hit series Game of Thrones. The album features selections of the score from the show’s second season by composer Ramin Djawadi (Iron Man, Prison Break). The soundtrack will be released on May 29, 2012 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check back on this page for the full details, including cover art and track list. The label has previously released an album featuring music from the first season last year. Game of Thrones has been nominated nominated for 13 Emmy Awards last year and received the honor for Best Main Title Design and the supporting performance by Peter Dinklage who also won a Golden Globe earlier this year. Christophe Beck has been tapped to score Universal Pictures’ supernatural action comedy R.I.P.D. The film is directed by Robert Schwentke (Flightplan) and stars Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon and Mary Louise-Parker. The movie based on the graphic novel by Peter Lenkov follows a cop killed in the line of duty who is recruited by a team of undead police officers working for the Rest in Peace Department and tries to find the man who murdered him. Phil Hay & Matt Manfredi (Clash of the Titans) have written the screenplay and Neil H. Moritz (I Am Legend, Fast Five) amd Mike Richardson (Hellboy) are producing the film. Reynolds, David Dobkin (The Wedding Crashers) Keith Goldberg, Jonathon Komack Martin (Tangled) and Ori Marmur (Battle Los Angeles) are among the executive producers of the Dark Horse Entertainment and Original Film production. The album features the film’s original score written by Academy Award-nominated composer Bruno Coulais (The Chorus, Coraline, The Crimson Rivers), as well as the songs featured in the film by Maze feat.
