Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album for the comedy Half Brothers. Half Brothers is directed by Luke Greenfield and stars Luis Gerardo Méndez, Connor Del Rio and Juan Pablo Espinosa. The movie follows a successful Mexican aviation executive who discovers he has an American half-brother he never knew about. Together, they are forced on a road journey together masterminded by their ailing father, tracing the path their father took as an immigrant from Mexico to the U.S.
‘Let’s Be Cops’ to Feature Music by Christophe Beck & Jake Monaco
Christophe Beck and Jake Monaco have composed the score for the upcoming action comedy Let’s Be Cops. The film is directed by Luke Greenfield (The Girl Next Door, Something Borrowed) and stars Damon Wayans Jr., Jake Johnson, Rob Riggle, Nina Dobrev, James D’Arcy and Andy Garcia. The movie follows two struggling pals who dress as police officers for a costume party and get tangled in a real life web of mobsters and dirty detectives. Greenfield has also co-written the screenplay with Nick Thomas and is producing the project with Simon Kinberg (X-Men: First Class, Elysium).
Alex Wurman scoring ‘Something Borrowed’
Film Music Reporter has learned that Alex Wurman is the composer of the upcoming romantic comedy Something Borrowed. The movie centers around a Manhattan attorney who becomes involved with her best friend’s fiance following her 30th birthday. The film is an adaptation of the first in a series of novels from Emily Giffin and is directed by Luke Greenfield who has previously worked with composers Paul Haslinger on The Girl Next Door and Teddy Castellucci on The Animal. Something Borrowed stars Kate Hudson, Ginnifer Goodwin, John Krasinski and Colin Egglesfield.
