Lyle Workman is the composer of the upcoming comedy 21 and Over. The film marks the directorial debut of screenwriters Jon Lucas & Scott Moore (The Hangover, The Change-Up) and centers on a group of friends who drag their straight-arrow buddy out to celebrate his 21st birthday the night before an important medical school interview. The movie’s cast includes Miles Teller (Footloose), Justin Chon (The Twilight Saga), Skylar Astin (Taking Woodstock) and Sarah Wright (The House Bunny). David Hobermann & Todd Lieberman (The Fighter, The Proposal), Andy Yan and Hugo Shong are producing the Relativity Media and Sky Land Entertainment production. 21 and Over marks the first project which partners the US company with an arm of the Chinese government. ‘The Last Ride’ Soundtrack Announced

Curb Records has announced the official soundtrack album for the drama The Last Ride inspired by the mysterious final days of country star Hank Williams’ mercurial life. The album features two tracks from the film’s score by Benjy Gaither, as well as a number of the country songs featured in the movie performed by artists including Jett Williams, Russ Taff, Rebecca Frasier, Wes Hampton, Sarah Johns, Doug Anderson, Michael English, Nathan Young and Johnny Cash & Waylon Jennings. ABKCO Records will be releasing the soundtrack album for the indie comedy Safety Not Guaranteed. The album features the original score by Ryan Miller who is best known as the lead singer and principal songwriter for the alt-rock band Guster that also has a song featured on the soundtrack. Also included is the song Big Machine by actor/director Mark Duplass, as well as tracks by Summer Fiction, Hearts on Fire and The Hoppin’ Haole Brothers. Vanessa Ragone, Mariela Besueivski & Gerardo Herrero (Son of the Bride) are producing Haddock Films, Tornasol Films and Castafiore Films production, which will be distributed by Fox International Prods. Milan Records will be releasing a soundtrack album for the Iranian drama Circumstance. The album features the original score composed by Gingger Shankar. Circumstance written and directed by Maryam Keshavarz revolves around a wealthy family in Iran struggling to contain a teen’s growing sexual rebellion and her brother’s dangerous obsession. The movie has won the Audience Award at last year’s Sundance Film Festival where the film premiered. The drama was released in theaters last summer and is now available on DVD. Two new movies are opening wide this Memorial Day weekend:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the sci-fi comedy Men in Black 3 directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and starring Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, Josh Brolin, Jemaine Clement, Alice Eve and Emma Thompson. The film’s score is composed by Danny Elfman. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. The movie’s end credits song Back in Time by Pitbull was released separately and is available to downloaded here.
Also opening wide is the horror film Chernobyl Diaries based on a story by Oren Peli (Paranormal Activity), directed by Bradley Parker and starring Jesse McCartney, Jonathan Sadowski, Devin Kelley, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Nathan Phillips, Ingrid Bolso Berdal and Dimitri Diatchenko. The film follows six tourists who take an extreme tour of Pripyat, the abandoned city near the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. Diego Stocco is the composer of the film. Rosenthal (Janie Jones) and stars Sam Rockwell as a wild-game poacher who makes a fatal mistake that leaves him with a suitcase full of blood money and hardened killers on his trail. William H. Macy, Melissa Leo, Jeffrey Wright, Jason Isaacs, Ophelia Lovibond and Kelly Reilly are co-starring. The project’s script is written by Matthew F. Jones based on his own novel. Chris Coen (Funny Games, Shadow Dancer), Keith Kjarval & Aaron L. Gilbert (Janie Jones) are producing the Unified Pictures, Bron Studios, Unanimous Entertainment and Media House Capital production.
