Interscope Records will release a soundtrack album for the film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s bestselling novel The Host. The album features songs by Imagine Dragons, Hudson Taylor, Skylar Grey, Ellie Goulding, Hudson Taylor, Duologue, Jamie N Commons, Die Mason Die, Active Child and X Ambassadors. Also included is one track from the film’s score composed by Antonio Pinto. The Host – Choose to Listen will be released digitally on March 26, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. As previously reported, a different soundtrack album featuring Pinto’s score will be released overseas by Metropolis Movie Music and is now available as an import on Amazon. The Host is directed by Andrew Niccol and stars Saoirse Ronan, Jake Abel, Max Irons, William Hurt, Diane Kruger, Chandler Canterbury and Frances Fisher. Varese Sarabande has announced the details for the soundtrack album for the action sequel G.I. Joe: Retaliation. The album features the film’s original score composed by Henry Jackman (X-Men: First Class, Puss in Boots, Wreck-It-Ralph). Hans Zimmer has composed the music for the upcoming drama Mr. Morgan’s Last Love. The film is helmed by German director Sandra Nettelbeck (Mostly Martha) and stars Michael Caine as a lonely American widower in Paris who learns to love life again after a chance encounter with a beautiful and vibrant young woman, played by Clémence Poésy. Justin Kirk, Jane Alexander, Anne Alvaro and Gillian Anderson are co-starring. Nettelbeck has also written the screenplay based on Françoise Dorner’s French novel La Douceur assassine. German production companies Bavaria Pictures, Kaminski Stiehm Film and Senator Film are co-producing with Scope Pictures and Sidney Kimmel Entertainment, in association with France’s Elzevir Films. ‘Gimme the Loot’ Soundtrack EP Announced

Sophisticon Records will release a soundtrack EP for the indie drama Gimme the Loot. The soundtrack features three songs from the film by Nicholas Britell & Mario Grullon, Rahzel Jr. and Chronikill. The EP is being released today and is now available to download on Amazon. Audio clips are available after the jump. Gimme the Loot written and directed by Adam Leon and starring Tashiana Washington, Ty Hickson & Zoë Lescaze centers on two graffiti-writing teens who try to execute a complicated revenge plan in New York City when one of their works is defaced by a rival gang. The movie premiered at last year’s SXSW Film Festival, where it received the Grand Jury and also won the Independent Spirit Someone to Watch Award. Intrada Records has announced two new soundtrack albums. First up is the world premiere release of the score for the 1983 crime thriller Bad Boys directed by Rick Rosenthal and starring Sean Penn, Esai Morales, Ally Sheedy and Reni Santoni. The film’s music is written by Academy Award-winning composer Bill Conti (Rocky, The Karate Kid). The album features the score, as well as additional alternate and unused source cues. The album features the songs from the film by artists including Wynonie Harris, Spade Cooley, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole Trio, Duke Ellington, Hank Williams, Sister Wynona Carr and Melora Hardin. Clinton Shorter is scoring the upcoming action thriller 2 Guns. The film is directed by Baltasar Kormakur and stars Denzel Washington, Mark Wahlberg, Bill Paxton, Edward James Olmos, Paula Patton and James Marsden. The movie follow a DEA agent and an undercover naval intelligence officer who unwittingly investigate each other as each steals mob money. Blake Masters (Brotherhood, Law & Order: LA) has written the screenplay based on Steven Grant’s graphic novel and Marc Platt (Drive, Wanted, Rachel Getting Married) is producing the project with Andrew Cosby (Eureka), Ross Richie, Norton Herrick (Very Good Girls) and Randall Emmett & George Furla. ‘Borgia’ Season 2 Soundtrack Announced

Silva Screen Records will release a soundtrack album for the historical drama series Borgia. The album features selections from the music of the show’s second season composed by Eric Neveux (Intimacy, Flight of the Storks). The soundtrack will be released overseas on April 29, 2013. No word yet on a domestic release. Borgia is created by Tom Fontana (Homicide: Life On The Street, Oz) and stars John Doman, Stanley Weber, Mark Ryder, Isolda Dychauk, Diarmuid Noyes, Assumpta Serna and Marta Gastini. The series’ second season will begin in 1494, 8 months after the death of Rodrigo Borgia’s eldest son and will chart the meteoric rise of Prince Cesare Borgia as the family endeavors to keep hold of the papacy. Premiering tomorrow is the new drama Bates Motel executive produced by Carlton Cuse (Lost) and Kerry Ehrin (Friday Night Lights) and starring Freddie Highmore, Vera Farmiga, Max Thieriot, Olivia Cooke, Nicola Peltz, Nestor Carbonell and Mike Vogel. The show is contemporary prequel to Alfred Hitchcock’s classic movie Psycho and follows Norman Bates during his teenage years. Chris Bacon (Source Code, Smash) is the composer of the show.
