Composer Graham Reynolds is reteaming with director Richard Linklater (Boyhood, Before Sunrise) on the upcoming biographical drama Blue Moon. The film starring Ethan Hawke, Margaret Qualley, Bobby Cannavale & Andrew Scott tells the story of lyricist Lorenz Hart bravely facing the future as his professional and private life unravel during the opening night party for his former partner Richard Rodgers’ hit show Oklahoma!. La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1988 comedy drama Rain Man directed by Barry Levinson and starring Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise. The album features the film’s remastered and expanded original score composed by Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Inception, The Dark Knight, Dune, Interstellar, Gladiator, The Thin Red Line) who received his first Academy Award nomination for his work on the movie, including previously unreleased music. Also included as bonus tracks is a 2000 concert suite demo, as well as source and alternate cues. Hans Zimmer has won his fifth Grammy Award for his score from Dune Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two in the Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media category at today’s 67th Annual Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony in Los Angeles. He was previously honored with a Grammy in the same category for his music for Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight. Jon Batiste & Dan Wilson received the award for the original song It Never Went Away from the documentary American Symphony in the Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media category.
