Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the animated feature Hoppers directed by Daniel Chong and starring Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan, Jon Hamm, Dave Franco, Meryl Streep, Kathy Najimy, Vanessa Bayer and Eduardo Franco. The film’s original music is composed by Mark Mothersbaugh (Thor: Ragnarok, The Royal Tenenbaums, A Minecraft Movie, The LEGO Movie, C21/22 Jump Street, loudy with a Chance of Meatballs, The Croods: A New Age). Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as an original song by SZA today. Also opening wide is the gothic romance The Bride! written and directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal and starring Jessie Buckley, Christian Bale, Annette Bening, Peter Sarsgaard, Jake Gyllenhaal and Penélope Cruz. Hildur Guðnadóttir (Joker, Chernobyl, Women Talking, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, A Haunting in Venice, Hedda, Tar, Sicario: Day of the Soldado) has composed the film’s original score. WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music, as well as songs by Fever Ray and the movie’ cast today.
