Varese Sarabande will release a soundtrack album for the indie drama Decoding Annie Parker. The album features the film’s original music composed by Steve Bramson (JAG, NCIS). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 27, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Decoding Annie Parker is directed by Steven Bernstein and stars Helen Hunt, Samantha Morton, Rashida Jones, Aaron Paul,Marley Shelton, Alice Eve, Corey Stoll and Bradley Whitford. The movie centers on two women whose parallel lives are devoted to finding a hereditary link to certain types of breast cancer. ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ to Feature Original Song by Imagine Dragons

Imagine Dragons have written the original song Battle Cry for Michael Bay’s upcoming action sequel Transformers: Age of Extinction. The band also contributed original music during the scoring process by recording cues with the film’s composer Steve Jablonsky, and Hans Zimmer, who assisted in the process. The songs is said to be used in critical points during the movie. Imagine Dragons will perform the new single live at the film’s worldwide premiere in Hong Kong. Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1990 sci-fi thriller Solar Crisis produced by Richard Edlund and starring Charlton Heston, Tim Matheson, Peter Boyle and Jack Palance. The film’s original music is composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Maurice Jarre (Lawrence of Arabia, Dr. Zhivago, Dead Poets Society, Ghost). The album features the complete score by the composer, as well as an alternate cue. Michael Giacchino to Score ‘Jurassic World’

Michael Giacchino has signed on to score the upcoming action adventure Jurassic World. The film is directed by Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) and stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Johnson, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Omar Sy, Vincent D’Onofrio, Judy Greer and BD Wong. No plot details have been revealed yet, but the movie is set to take place 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park. Trevorrow has also co-written the screenplay with Derek Connolly. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are producing the project and Steven Spielberg serves as an executive producer. ‘House of Cards’ Season 2 Soundtrack Details

Varese Sarabande has announced the details of the second soundtrack album for the Netflix original series House of Cards. The album features selections from the score of the show’s second season composed by Jeff Beal (Rome, Monk, Appaloosa, Pollock). The soundtrack will be released as a 2-CD set on June 17, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Season 2 version of the composer’s main title theme is already available to download here. The label has previously released a soundtrack album featuring music from the first season. House of Cards developed by Beau Willimon, executive produced by David Fincher and starring Kevin Spacey, Robin Wright, Kate Mara, Kristen Connolly, Corey Stoll and Constance Zimmer received three Emmy Awards in 2013 and nine Emmy nominations including nods for Beal’s main titles theme and underscore. The movie follows an award-winning artist who is primed for superstardom. The pressures of success compel her to nearly end her life until she is saved by a young police officer. Stephanie Allain (Hustle & Flow, Black Snake Moan), Reggie Rock Bythewood, Ryan Kavanaugh (The Fighter, Limitless) and Amar’e Stoudemire are producing the project. J-2 Music will release a soundtrack album for the indie coming-of-age comedy Ping Pong Summer. The album features the songs from the film by artists including The Fat Boys, Mary Jane Girls, New Edition, Whodini, Midnight Star and Angelo Jannotti. Also included is a suite from the film’s original score composed by Michael Montes. The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 3, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Ping Pong Summer is written and directed by Michael Tully and stars Susan Sarandon, Marcello Conte, Judah Friedlander, John Hannah, Lea Thompson, Amy Sedaris, Robert Longstreet. The movie is set in 1985 and follows 13-year-old Rad Miracle as he attempts to live up to his name by becoming a master breakdancer, ping pong player and ladies man all before the end of summer break.
