‘Batman’ Live to Projection Concerts Announced

batmanThe 21st Century Symphony Orchestra has announced a concert featuring the world premiere performance of composer Danny Elfman‘s original score for Tim Burton’s 1989 movie Batman starring Michael Keaton & Jack Nicholson performed live to projection. The Academy Award-nominated composer is scheduled to attend the event in person. Batman – Live in Concert will be held on May 20 & 21, 2016 at the KKL Luzern Concert Hall in Lucerne, Switzerland. The music will be performed by the 21st Century Symphony Orchestra & Choir under the baton of Ludwig Wicki. The orchestra was previously involved in the world premiere live to picture performance of Elfman’s score for Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. Visit KKL’s website to buy tickets for the concerts.

The orchestra’s other upcoming concerts include a world premiere performance of the music for Milos Forman’s Academy Award-winning film Amadeus on March 4 & 5. Click here for more information and to buy tickets. In addition, the orchestra is also performing live to projection concerts in 2016 for Steven Spielberg’s Raiders of the Lost Ark (music by John Williams) on March 9-12 at Royal Albert Hall in London, as well as Ridley Scott’s Gladiator (music by Hans Zimmer) on April 8-10 and The Artist on April 29 & 30 (music by Ludovic Bource), both at KKL in Lucerne.
