Decca Gold will release a soundtrack album for the drama Wakefield. The album features the film’s original music composed by Aaron Zigman (The Notebook, John Q, The Proposal, Bridge to Terabithia, The Shack). Pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet is featured as a soloist on the composer’s score. Also included are two classical pieces by Schubert and Chopin performed by Thibaudet. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, June 16 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Wakefield is written and directed by Robin Swicord and stars Bryan Cranston, Jennifer Garner, Jason O’Mara, Beverly D’Angelo, Ian Anthony Dale, Pippa Bennett-Warner and Isaac Leyva. The movie follows a Manhattan lawyer who unexpectedly leaves his wife and winds up staying in his attic for several months due to a nervous breakdown.

Aaron Zigman to Score Robin Swicord’s ‘Wakefield’
Aaron Zigman is set to reteam with director Robin Swicord on the upcoming drama Wakefield. The film is written and directed by Swicord (screenwriter of Memoirs of a Geisha & Little Women) and stars Bryan Cranston and Jennifer Garner. The movie is based a short story of the same name by E.L. Doctorow and follows a Manhattan lawyer who unexpectedly leaves his wife and winds up staying in his attic for several months due to a nervous breakdown. Bonnie Curtis (Saving Private Ryan, Minority Report) and Julie Lynn (Albert Nobbs, Passengers, Mother and Child) are producing the project for their Mockingbird Pictures company, alongside Broadway producers Wendy Federman and Carl Moellenberg.
