The film is written and directed by Saverio Costanzo (PrivateIn Memory of Myself) and stars Adam Driver, Alba Rohrwacher and Roberta Maxwell. The movie follows a young married couple in New York City that engages in a fateful struggle over the life of their newborn child. Mario Gianani (Vincere, Me and You) and Lorenzo Mieli (In Treatment) are producing the project. Costanzo’s last feature The Solitude of Prime Numbers featured a score by Mike Patton. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Howard Shore (The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Silence of the Lambs, Hugo). The soundtrack will be released on September 9, 2014 by Howe Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. intrudersBear McCreary has been tapped to score the upcoming BBC America original series Intruders. The show is created by Glen Morgan (Final DestinationThe X-Files) and stars John Simm, Mira Sorvino, Tory Kittles, James Frain and Millie Brown. The drama is set in the Pacific Northwest and follows a secret society devoted to chasing immortality by seeking refuge in the bodies of others. Morgan is also executive producing the project with Jane Tranter (Criminal Justice) & Julie Gardner (Doctor WhoTorchwood) and Rose Lam (The L Word). Tranter also serves as an executive producer on the McCreary-scored Starz series DaVinci’s Demons. Eduardo Sanchez (The Blair Witch ProjectExists) and Daniel Stamm (13 Sins) have directed the first episodes of Intruders, which is set to premiere on August 23, 2014 and will air every Saturday on BBC America. The track is composed by Bear McCreary (The Walking DeadBattlestar GalacticaAgents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) who is also composing the score for the series and features vocals by Raya Yarbrough. The theme will be released as a single on August 2, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on iTunes. aviationJames Horner is scoring the upcoming documentary Aviation: The Invisible Highway. The movie is directed by filmmaker and pilot Brian J. Terwilliger (One Six Right) and tells the story about how the airplane has changed the world and how it affected our society by spreading culture, bringing together family and friends, and creating value for the global economy. Harrison Ford is narrating the documentary, which was filmed in 18 countries across all 7 continents. Horner is a pilot himself and part of a team known as The Horsemen, a trio of aerobatic pilots who fly in tribute to those who flew fighting for their country. The show is created by created by Byron Balasco and stars Frank Grillo, Nick Jonas, Jonathan Tucker, Joanna Going, Matt Lauria, Kiele Sanchez, Cynthia Stevenson, M.C. Gainey and Bryan Callen. The drama takes place in Venice, California and is set against the renegade subculture of mixed martial arts (MMA). Balscao is also executive producing the Endemol Studios production. a-second-chanceJohan Söderqvist is reteaming with Susanne Bier on the upcoming drama A Second Chance (En chance til). The Danish/Swedish co-production stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Ulrich Thomsen, Maria Bonnevie, Nikolaj Lie Kaas and Lykke May Andersen. The film follows a veteran police with a wife and new baby who makes a fateful decision when he is brought back into contact with a pair of junkie parents. Anders Thomas Jensen has written the screenplay and Sisse Graum Jørgensen is producing the Zentropa production. The Academy Award-winning director has previously collaborated with the composer on numerous projects, including In a Better World, Brothers and Love Is All You Need. He also scored Bier’s Serena starring Bradley Cooper & Jennifer Lawrence, which is still awaiting a premiere date.
