Saunder Jurriaans and Danny Bensi have been tapped to score the upcoming indie romantic comedy drama The Driftless Area. The film is directed by Zachary Sluser and stars Zooey Deschanel, Anton Yelchin, John Hawkes, Aubrey Plaza, Frank Langella, Ciaran Hinds and Alia Shawkat. The movie is based on a novel by Tom Drury and centers on the relationship between a bartender who returns to his hometown after the death of his parents and a mysterious woman. Sluser and Drury have co-written the screenplay. Keith Kjarval (Rudderless, Trust Me) is producing the project for Unified Pictures, alongside Aaron L. ‘Interstellar’ Soundtrack Details

WaterTower Music has announced the full details of the soundtrack album for Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi drama Interstellar. The album features the film’s original music composed by Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Inception, Gladiator, The Lion King). The soundtrack will be released in two different versions on November 18, 2014: a Star Wheel Constellation Chart Digipak featuring 16 tracks from the score and a deluxe digital-only version featuring 22 tracks. A 28-track Illuminated Star Projection Edition with bonus content, including 30 minutes of music unavailable anywhere else will be coming out later this year (check back on this page for the full details). Lorne Balfe has recently recorded his score for the upcoming comedy drama Dough. The film is directed by John Goldschmidt and stars Jonathan Pryce, Phil Davis, Ian Hart, Pauline Collins and Jerome Holder. The movie centers on the unlikely friendship between an old Jewish baker trying to save his family business and a young Muslim refugee from Darfur trying to help his mother by selling cannabis. Jez Freedman and Jonathan Benson have written the screenplay. Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the thriller Repentance. The album features the film’s original music composed by Mark Kilian (Pitch Perfect, Tsotsi, Revenge of the Green Dragons, Rendition). A new soundtrack album will be released for the ABC drama Nashville. The album features 12 holiday standards and originals performed by the show’s cast including Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Sam Palladio, Clare Bowen, Charles Esten, Jonathan Jackson, Aubrey Peeples, Will Chase and Lennon & Maisy. The Christmas with Nashville soundtrack will be released both digitally and physically on November 4, 2014. The CD version be available in the U.S. exclusively at Target. Theo Green has recently co-scored the upcoming drama The Gambler. The film is directed by Rupert Wyatt (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) and stars Mark Wahlberg, John Goodman, Brie Larson, Michael K. The movie based on the 1974 film of the same title starring James Caan follows a college professor who gets caught up in the dangerous world of high-stakes underground gambling.
