Chris Bacon has composed the music for the pilot of the upcoming Amazon original series The Tick. The show is created by Ben Edlund (Supernatural, Titan A.E.) based on his own comic book series and stars Peter Serafinowicz, Griffin Newman, Jackie Earle Haley, Valorie Curry, Yara Martinez and Brendan Hine. The superhero comedy follows an underdog accountant with zero powers in a city owned by a global villain who was thought to be dead. Edlund is also executive producing the Sony Pictures Television production with Barry Josephson (Enchanted, Bones, The Ladykillers) and Barry Sonnenfeld (Men in Black, Get Shorty). ‘Godzilla Resurgence’ Soundtrack Released

A soundtrack album has been released for the Japanese monster movie Godzilla Resurgence (aka Shin Godzilla). The album features the film’s original music composed by Shiro Sagisu (Attack on Titan, Bleach, Neon Genesis Evangelion) and Akira Ifukube. The soundtrack is now available in Japan and will be released in the U.S. on October 11, 2016. Visit Amazon to pre-order the album. No word yet on a domestic release. Godzilla Resurgence is co-directed by Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi and stars Hiroki Hasegawa, Satomi Ishihara and Yutaka Takenouchi. Amazon Content Services will release a soundtrack album for the Amazon original series Mozart in the Jungle. The album features the show’s main title theme Lisztomania arranged by the show’s composer Roger Neill (Beginners, Don’t Think Twice), as well as a selection of the classical pieces used in the series’ first two seasons by Rachmaninoff, Berlioz, Mozart, Mendelssohn & more. The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 12, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Mozart in the Jungle is created by Roman Coppola, Jason Schwartzman & Alex Timbers and stars Gael García Bernal, Lola Kirke Saffron Burrows, Hannah Dunne, Malcolm McDowell and Peters. Grand Performances and the Alliance for Women Film Composers have teamed up to celebrate the music of women composers in film, television, video games and interactive media at The Women Who Score: Soundtracks Live, a free concert that will take place in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday, August 19. The details of the soundtrack album for the drama The Light Between Oceans have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The King’s Speech, Godzilla, The Imitation Game, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows). The soundtrack will be released in the U.S. on September 2, 2016 by Lakeshore Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Sony Classical is handling the release overseas. The Light Between Oceans is written and directed by Derek Cianfrance and stars Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander, Rachel Weisz, Bryan Brown and Jack Thompson. The movie is based on the M.L. Stedman novel of the same title and follows a lighthouse keeper and his wife who are faced with a moral dilemma when a boat washes ashore with a dead man and a 2-month-old infant.
