Michael Giacchino is currently composing the music for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ upcoming feature Zootopia. The film is directed by Byron Howard (Tangled, Bolt) & Rich Moore (Wreck-It-Ralph) and features the voices of Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Idris Elba, J.K. Simmons, Octavia Spencer, Jenny Slate and Tommy Chong. The movie is set in a civilization led by animals devoid of human interference, complete with habitat neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown. Warner Bros. Pictures is submitting two original songs from the upcoming sports drama Creed for Oscar consideration. The first track, Waiting for My Moment, is written by the film’s composer Ludwig Goransson (Community, Fruitvale Station, New Girl, We’re the Millers), the movie’s director Ryan Coogler, rapper Vince Staples, and Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino. The details of the soundtrack album for the drama The 33 have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner James Horner (Titanic, Avatar, A Beautiful Mind, Braveheart, Apollo 13). Also included are two songs by Cote de Pablo and Los Bunkers. The soundtrack will be released on November 6, 2015 by WaterTower Music and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. The 33 is directed by Patricia Riggen and stars Antonio Banderas, Rodrigo Santoro, Juliette Binoche, James Brolin, Lou Diamond Phillips, Bob Gunton and Gabriel Byrne. The movie tells the true story of the 2010 mining disaster in Chile, where 33 miners had been buried alive by the catastrophic explosion and collapse of a 100-year-old gold and copper mine. The show is created by Peter Morgan (The Queen, Rush, Frost/Nixon) and stars Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II, Matt Smith as Philip Mountbatten, Duke of Edinburgh, Vanessa Kirby as Princess Margaret and John Lithgow as Winston Churchill.
