‘Toxic Town’ Soundtrack Album Details

Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the British Netflix limited series Toxic Town. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Sion Trefor (Say Nothing).  The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 28 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Toxic Town is written by Jack Thorne, directed by Minkie Spiro and stars Jodie Whittaker, Aimee Lou Wood, Claudia Jessie, Robert Carlyle, Rory Kinnear, Brendan Coyle, Stephen McMillan, Joe Dempsie, Lauren Lyle, Michael Socha and Karla Crome. The 4-part drama tells the story of the people at the heart of the Corby poisonings, one of UK’s biggest environmental scandal, focusing on a group of mothers who took on a David and Goliath battle for justice. Kursiv Plater has released a soundtrack album for the Norwegian Netflix original film The Wrong Track (På villspor). The album features the movie’s original music composed by Jørund Fluge Samuelsen (Everybody Hates Johan, Oslo Zoo). The show is created by Paul William Davies (For the People) and stars Uzo Aduba, Giancarlo Esposito, Randall Park, Susan Kelechi Watson, Molly Griggs, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Jason Lee, Edwina Findley, Ken Marino and Al Mitchell. The crime comedy revolves around a brilliant, eccentric detective who must solve a murder in the White House residence, where the staff and guests at a state dinner are all suspects. Capitol Christian Music Group will release a soundtrack album for the Prime Video original series House of David. The album features for King & Country’s cover of U2’s 40 (already available to stream/download now as a digital single), as well as nine additional songs inspired by the show and performed by artists such as NEEDTOBREATHE feat. Tori Kelly, Lecrae, Tasha Cobbs, Chris Tomlin, Blessing Offor & others. Chanell Crichlow (My Fake Boyfriend, Fanatical: The Catfishing of Tegan and Sara, The Ringleader: The Case of the Bling Ring) has recently scored the upcoming Hulu original documentary Last Take: Rust and the Story of Halyna. The film is directed by Rachel Mason (Circus of Books, An Update on Our Family) and takes viewers inside the fateful day in 2021, when Alec Baldwin’s prop gun fired a live bullet on the set of the western Rust, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Juan Ignacio Espinosa, Joaquín Sanchez & Patricio Andres Browne. Also included are four songs by Oscar Ariel Dominguez. Composer Isobel Waller-Bridge (Fleabag, EmmaWicked Little Letters, Vita & Virginia, The Phantom of the Open, Munich: The Edge of War, Three WomenRoar) is reteaming with director Sam Yates on the new BBC drama Towards Zero. The show, which also features music by Benji Merrison & Will Slater, is written by Rachel Bennette (Bel Ami, NW) based on Agatha Christie’s classic mystery, directed by Yates (Agatha and the Curse of Ishtar) and stars Anjelica Huston, Matthew Rhys, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Ella Lily Hyland, Clarke Peters, Mimi Keene, Anjana Vasan, Jack Farthing, Grace Doherty, Jackie Clune, Khalil Gharbia and Adam Hugill. Legacy Recordings has announced the first stand-alone soundtrack release for the 1972 concert film/documentary Pink Floyd at Pompeii – MCMLXXII (aka Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii) directed by Adrian Maben. The album features the live performances (recorded in the ruins of the ancient Roman Amphitheatre in Pompeii, Italy) from the movie, which has been digitally remastered and remixed by Steven Wilson, as well as two additional tracks, including a previously unreleased extended version of A Saucerful Of Secrets. L’R Du Tresor has released the first-ever soundtrack album for the 2015 French romantic drama My King (Mon roi) co-written and directed by Maïwenn and starring Vincent Cassel, Emmanuelle Bercot and Louis Garell. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Stephen Warbeck (Shakespeare in Love, Billy ElliottCaptain Corelli’s Mandolin, Quills, Proof, Indian Summers) who received a Cesar Award nomination for his work on the project.
