Frances Music Group has released a soundtrack album for the Swedish drama Girls Lost (Pojkarna). The album features the film’s original music composed by Sophia Ersson. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Girls Lost is written and directed by Alexandra-Therese Keining and stars Tuva Jagell, Emrik Öhlander, Wilma Holmén, Vilgot Ostwald Vesterlund, Louise Nyvall, Alexander Gustavsson, Mandus Berg and Filip Vester. Jeff Toyne has been tapped to score the upcoming DirecTV original series You Me Her. The show is created by John Scott Shepherd (Life or Something Like It, Joe Somebody) and stars Greg Poehler, Rachel Blanchard, Melanie Papalia & Priscilla Faia. The comedy is inspired by a Playboy Magazine article Sugar on Top by John H. Richardson and centers on the complex dealings and interactions of a group of individuals involved in a three-way relationship. Harry Gregson-Williams confirmed in a recent video interview with Film.Music.Media that he is attached to score Ridley Scott’s upcoming Alien: Covenant. The film is set to star Michael Fassbender who will reprise his role from Prometheus, as well as Katherine Waterstone. The movie follows the crew of the colony ship Covenant that discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark world whose sole inhabitant is David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition. James Horner’s ‘Aliens’ Live-to-Picture Concert Announced

The Royal Albert Hall has announced the world premiere performance of James Horner‘s original music for the 1986 sci-fi thriller Aliens performed live-to-picture. The concert will be performed live by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and conducted by Ludwig Wicki. Horner received one of his first two Academy Award nominations for his work on the film directed by James Cameron and starring Sigourney Weaver. The event will take place on Sunday, November 6 at Royal Albert Hall in London. Ennio Morricone will be honored at the Walk of Fame star ceremony on February 26, 2016 in Hollywood. It was announced back in 2014 that the legendary composer will receive a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame and given his presence in Los Angeles for the Academy Awards on February 28, Morricone has confirmed to attend the event. The star ceremony will take place on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at 7065 Hollywood Bvld. Director Colin Trevorrow announced on Twitter that Michael Giacchino will be composing the music for the upcoming drama The Book of Henry. The film stars Naomi Watts, Jacob Tremblay, Jaeden Lieberher, Dean Norris, Lee Pace, Sarah Silverman, Maddie Ziegler and Bobby Moynihan. The movie follows a single mother who raises a genius boy. Gregg Hurwitz has written the screenplay. Sidney Kimmel (The Place Beyond the Pines, Lars and the Real Girls, The Age of Adaline) and Carla Hacken are producing the project with Jenette Kahn & Adam Richman (The Flock).
