Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the Ghostbusters reboot directed by Paul Feig and starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and Chris Hemsworth. The film’s original score is composed by Theodore Shapiro (Tropic Thunder, Spy, The Devil Wears Prada) who also makes a cameo appearance in the movie. Sony Classical has released soundtrack featuring the composer’s score (click here for the full album details). RCA Records has released a separate soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie by artists including WALK THE MOON, Fall Out Boy ft. Missy Elliott, Elle King, DMX & more, as well as the track Want Some More co-written by Shapiro and performed by Beasts of Mayhem. Check out our previous article for the full album details.
Also opening wide is the crime thriller The Infiltrator directed by Brad Furman and starring Bryan Cranston, Diane Kruger, John Leguizamo, Benjamin Bratt, Amy Ryan, Joseph Gilgun and Yul Vazquez. Chris Hajian (First Position, Yonkers Joe, The Take) has composed the film’s original score. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score.
