The details of the first soundtrack albums for the USA hit series Mr. Robot have been revealed. The albums feature the original music from the show’s first season composed by Mac Quayle (American Crime Story, American Horror Story, Scream Queens). The Season 1 Vol. 1 & Vol. 2 soundtracks will be released digitally on June 3, 2016 and physically a few weeks later. Rachel Portman has recently recorded her score for the upcoming screwball comedy Their Finest Hour and a Half. The film is directed by Lone Scherfig (An Education, Italian for Beginners) and stars Gemma Arterton, Bill Nighy, Sam Claflin, Jack Huston and Claudia Jessie. The movie is based on the novel by Lissa Evans and follows a British movie crew trying to make a patriotic film to boost morale after the Blitz during World War II, only for a battle of the sexes to ensue. Gaby Chiappe has written the screenplay. Amanda Posey (Brooklyn, Fever Pitch) & Stephen Woolley (Interview with the Vampire, Carol, The Crying Game) are producing the BBC Films and HanWay production. Original Smashing Pumpkins member James Iha has signed on to score the upcoming Lifetime original movie Mother, May I Sleep with Danger?. The film is a remake of the 1996 cult TV movie of the same title starring Tori Spelling & Ivan Sergei who also star in the new version alongside James Franco, Leila George, Emily Meade and Nick Eversman. The movie is said to focus on a vampire-infused, same-sex love story. Amber Coney has written the screenplay based on a story by Franco who is executive producing the Sony Pictures Television and Rabbit Bandini production with Vince Jolivette (Palo Alto, Spring Breakers, The Adderall Diaries), Diane Sokolow and Rachel Verno. Sony Masterworks will release the official soundtrack album for the historical drama Free State of Jones. The album features the film’s original music composed by Nicholas Britell (The Big Short, A Tale of Love and Darkness). Also included is the original song I’m Crying by Lucinda Williams. It was announced today that Alberto Iglesias is set to compose the music for Terry Gilliam’s upcoming film adaptation of The Man Who Killed Don Quixote. The film starring Adam Driver, Michael Palin and Olga Kurylenko follows a jaded young advertising executive who returns to the Spanish village where he made a film based on Cervantes’ masterpiece years earlier and meets a villager who believes himself to be Don Quixote as he gets swept up in a fantastic extravaganza complete with damsels in distress, knights and giants. Gilliam (Brazil, The Fisher King, The Brothers Grimm) has also co-written the screenplay with Tony Grisoni (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Tideland). Paul Haslinger has been hired to score the upcoming sci-fi action sequel Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. The film is written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson (AVP: Alien vs. Predator, Pompeii) and stars Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, Iain Glen, Shawn Roberts, Ruby Rose, Eoin Macken, William Levy, Fraser James and Rola. The movie follows Alice as she returns to Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse.
