Hollywood Records to Release ‘Doctor Strange’ Soundtrack

Hollywood Records will release the official soundtrack album for Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange. Academy Award winner Michael Giacchino (Up, Jurassic World, Lost, Star Trek, Inside Out, The Incredibles, Ratatouille) is composing the film’s original music. The soundtrack will be released physically on November 18, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A digital version is expected to be released earlier in November. James Newton Howard has been hired to score the upcoming Jumanji sequel. The film is directed by Jake Kasdan (Bad Teacher, Orange County) and stars Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillian, Jack Black and Nick Jonas. No plot details have been announced yet. Scott Rosenberg (High Fidelity, Con Air) and Jeff Pinkner (The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The 5th Wave) have written the screenplay based on a previous draft by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers (Spider-Man: Homecoming, The Lego Batman Movie).
