‘Wheeler’ Soundtrack Details

wheelerVarese Sarabande will release a soundtrack album for the country music drama Wheeler. The album features the film’s original music written and performed by Stephen Dorff. Also included is bonus track by Kris Kristofferson. The first song from the soundtrack, Pour Me Out of This Town, is already available to download as a digital single. The full soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on February 3, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Wheeler is co-written and directed by Ryan Ross and stars Dorff, Kristofferson, Bobby Tomberlin, Audrey Spillman, Bart Herbison, Jim Ed Norton and Travis Meadows. dominic-lewisDominic Lewis has been hired to score the upcoming comedy Rock That Body. The film is directed by Lucia Aniello (Broad City) and stars Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer, Zoe Kravitz, Demi Moore, Ty Burrell, Hasan Minhaj and Colton Haynes. The movie follows five friends who get a beach house in Miami for a wild bachelorette weekend that goes completely off the rails. Aniello also co-wrote the screenplay with Paul W. Downs. They are also producing the project with Matt Tolmach (The Amazing Spider-Man, Jumanji) and Dave Becky (Louie, Master of None, Insecure). Read the rest of this entry »

cold-skinThis week, Victor Reyes is recording his score for the upcoming psychological thriller Cold Skin. The film is directed by Xavier Gens (Hitman, The Divide, Frontier(s)) and stars Ray Stevenson, David Oakes and Aura Garrido. The movie is based on the book by Albert Sanchez Piñol of the same title and follows a young man who is approaching a remote island on the edge of the Antarctic Circle to relieve a weather observer who has been stationed there in solitude. But all he finds is a deranged castaway who has witnessed a horror he refuses to name. Jesus Olmo (28 Weeks Later) has written the screenplay. Read the rest of this entry »

dance-academyDavid Hirschfelder has recently composed the music for the upcoming feature Dance Academy: The Movie. The film is directed by Jeffrey Walker and stars Xenia Goodwin, Miranda Otto, Dena Kaplan, Alicia Banit, Thomas Lacey, Jordan Rodrigues, Keiynan Lonsdale and Tara Morice. The movie is based on the Australian TV series Dance Academy created by Samantha Strauss & Joanna Werner, which premiered in 2010, and tracks where the show’s characters are in their lives now. a-ghost-storyDaniel Hart is reteaming with director David Lowery on the upcoming drama A Ghost Story. The film is written and directed by Lowery and stars Casey Affleck, Rooney Mara, Will Oldham, Sonia Acevedo, Rob Zabrecky and Liz Franke. The movie follows a spectral figure, who was once a man and was prematurely taken from this Earth, who makes his way toward his former home, where he is fated to remain forevermore. Toby Halbrooks & James M. Johnston (Listen Up Philip) and Adam Donaghey are producing the project. The album features the film’s original music composed by Cezary Skubiszewski (The SapphiresDeath Defying ActsBeneath Hill 60) who previously scored the 2011 original Red Dog movie. Also included are the songs from the movie by The Easybeats, Daddy Cool, Sherbet, The Travelling Wilbury & more. The soundtrack is now available digitally and physically in Australia. Visit Amazon to pre-order the album as an import. Red Dog: True Blue is directed by Kriv Stenders and stars Jason Isaacs, Levi Miller, Bryan Brown and Hanna Mangan Lawrence. see-you-tomorrowNathaniel Mechaly has recently recorded his score for the upcoming Chinese romance See You Tomorrow. The film is written and directed by Zhang Jiajia and stars Tony Leung Chiu-wai, Takeshi Kaneshiro, Eason Chan, Angelababy and Sandrine Pinna. The movie follows a young woman who falls in love with a married painter whose wife is unfaithful to him. Kar Wai Wong (In the Mood for Love, 2046, My Blueberry Nights) is producing the project. jurassic-worldMichael Giacchino confirmed in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter that he will be returning to score the currently untitled Jurassic World sequel. The film will be directed by J.A. Bayona and is set to star Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rafe Spall, Toby Jones, Justice Smith and. No plot details have been revealed yet. Colin Trevorrow who directed the first Jurassic World movie has written the screenplay with Derek Connolly (Safety Not Guaranteed). 20th-century-womenRhino Records has released a soundtrack album for the comedy drama 20th Century Women. The album features the songs from the movie by David Bowie, Talking Heads, The Raincoats, Fred Astaire, Benny Goodman, Rudy Vallee, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Devo, Louis Armstrong, The Buzzcocks & more. Also included are selections from the film’s original score composed by Roger Neill (BeginnersMozart in the Jungle, Don’t Think TwiceKing of the Hill). The soundtrack is now available to download on iTunes, where you can also listen to audio samples.
